The doors of the Oval Office slammed open as the Chief of Staff walked in. "Mr.President,our spy in the Kremlin has told us of a Soviet attack on Western Europe only 3 weeks in the future." Jimmy Carter was shocked about this news "But why,why?" "They obviously think that as now Khomenei has replaced the Shah,our citizens have been taken hostage in Teheran and our forces head towards the Persian Gulf,it is the time to strike." "What shall we do?" "Mr.President,currently our troops are undergoing their annual maneuver.If we direct them now,we may stand a chance against the soviet war machine." "You mean,we should start an aggressive war?" "In case of severe danger a preemptive strike is legitimate by the U.N. Charter." Carter closed his eyes for a minute and then said:"Right then,redirect the troops to the Warsaw Pact territory.I'll call our European and Asian allies for their support."

The air went hot when the F-15 roared over the Czech plains.The Soviets had most of their forces in Eastern Germany,but they didn't expect an attack on the CSSR,so the U.S. were relatively easy.80,000 U.S. soldiers and 500 Tanks crossed the border,supported by several dozen F-15 fighters and Bombers.The Czech forces were crushed easily and in less than 24 hours the U.S. troops had reached the outskirts of Prague.The fighting was harsh with heavy losses on both sides,but ultimately the CSSR/USSR forces were defeated and when the American tanks rolled through Prague,they were celebrated as liberators.

At first the NATO partners,Japan,South Korea and Taiwan had been a bit angry about not being informed.But when they saw the people cheering in Prague they joined the war against the Soviets.Meanwhile,several U.S. navy Carrier groups left harbours and headed for the Baltic Sea,the NorthPolar Sea and the Pacific.

The liberation of the CSSR had allowed NATO to attack the Soviets in the side,so victories were easy the first days.But now the full might of the USSR and her allies cracked down on the NATO allies.And not only on them.The Soviets had decided it would be the final war to decide the fate of Europe,so they attacked Finland,Sweden,Austria and Ireland as well.Currently 4 Soviet tank divisions were rolling onto Vienna.Many villages and towns on their way were razed and innumerous civilians tortured or killed,but luckily a combined Austrian-French-Italian force managed to defend the 1.3 Million people of Vienna from Soviet aggression.

NATO planes were constantly bombing not only Poland or Hungary,but the SU itself.Kiev and Sewastopol were the main targets for the moment.Though the Soviet SAMs were quite effective,the bombing destroyed the morale of the Soviet citizens.But meanwhile the Soviets constantly pounded on the West German railway system,especially in the North denying NATO to bring heavy reinforcements into the area quickly.
