WW2-Global Unofficial v2.7 Graphics Update

Look at the standard Firaxis Radar Artillery. It uses the rotate flag. You may call it the Katyusha. Look at it in Flicster. The vehicle may be pointed south, and when viewed in the S direction.. it does indeed point down.. but when it fortifies and when it fires.. the rockets rotate 45 degrees to the right. That is what happens when a land unit has the rotate flag. When a sea unit has a rotate flag then the entire unit moves 90 degrees for a broadside.

Not knowing the difference, I did my original 88 pointing 90 degrees to the right of center when it fired. The corrected version is supposed to be 45 degrees.
I don't know whats wrong with your program that it doesn't do this. There is no correction needed for my work.

You know, I thought I was just losing it for a minute... as when I initially tested it with and without the rotate flag checked, it stayed the same, for some reason sea units rotate before attack, but none of the land units are, guess it actually may be something with the program itself. Apparently there have been occasional problems with the Rotate before Attack working for ground units when turning it on or off in the BIQ, seems it is stuck on OFF only in my test BIQ I was using. Sorry about the confusion... it's been a long week!

For some reason the .BIQ file is not finding that entry in the pediaicons.txt file. It is included in the large 477MB file called 'WW2-Global-FILES.zip'. Do you still have this .zip file? If you do, try un-zipping it again, copying the WW2-Global folder in that zip file and pasting it in your CivIII/Conquests/Scenarios folder again. If you have a WW2-Global folder in your scenarios folder already, you would need to make sure you either delete that folder first, or when you paste over it, to make sure you replace all and any files if Windows asks. Most files are updated and it sounds as if the pediaicons.txt file does not have that entry in there (may be an old pediaicons file still in there for some reason).

I am having the same problem. There is no file for lightland1940. I download everything properly and have conquest. I unzipped it again (did replace all) and there is no lightland1940 tech in that folder still. Deleted it and then tried it again and still not there. Should I just copy and paste another tech and label it? The file is simple not there.... How do I fix this?

Lightland1940 uses a graphic that is already included in conquests, so that is coming up due to the fact that the BIQ file is still reading an old PediaIcons.txt file. It's not missing a graphic, because it gets the graphic from the CivIII\Art\tech chooser\Icons\00-AdvancedFlight-small.pcx in your CivIII folder.

So since the BiQ file is not finding the updates made to the PediaIcons file in the mod, could be 1 of 2 things:
1. You need to make sure that the folder called 'WW2-Global' is copied to your Civilization III\Conquests\Scenarios folder. When you unzip it, you need to copy and paste the folder (WW2-Global) inside of the unzipped folder (WW2-Global-FILES).

2. Or when you are copying the folder in there, it may not be overwriting the files for some reason (does it ask you? Windows should ask if you wish to overwrite certain files that already exist, which includes the PediaIcons.txt file.. if it doesn't then that would be the problem).

3. If you deleted the WW2-Global folder that was in your CivIII/Conquests/Scenarios folder first... then copied the WW2-Global folder (from the unzipped WW2-Global-FILES folder) to the CivIII/Conquests/Scenarios.. you should have no problem.

4. Make sure the .BIQ is also in the CivIII/Conquests/Scenarios folder, and that you are running the correct .BIQ.

That is all I can possibly think of as to why you are getting that error. Let me know what happens.

Yea, it loads now. I guess I got confused with the WW2-Global files. I just had the original there in the scenario folder and didn't copy and replace the old one. I just left it in the WW2-Global-Files not realizing even after reading the directions. I only have 1gb ram and it goes pretty slow between turns even with it set to high speed through windows task manager and preferences that should speed it up. I have about a 2.4ghz dual core but I think the ram is holding my computer back. If I upgraded to 1.5 or 2gb ram I think it would run a lot faster. Love the no raze patch also! Finally Germany doesn't raze some cities in France. Also, will help Japan because they tended to raze a lot of China cities (mainly communist). I am trying it on Sid with Finland (never tried them before). Just building city improvements (focused on science since Sid makes it a slow process at first to get techs) right now and will have 2 or so cities soon that can build troops soon. I am thinking about declaring war on Norway in a few turns at least Germany will take Copenhagen. Can't wait till I can get the Finland 1942 Armour Division...
