The Romano R90 series included 24 R83 floatplanes ordered by Spain, 6 delivered. The sole 20mm cannon armed R.92 landplane, powered by 900 hp (671 kW) Hispano-Suiza 12Ycrs-1 V12 engine was also delivered to Spain in 1938, fate unknown.

I'm going to assume since you spent all this time building a mod for it, this game is solid?
Pretty much. It's a blend of Panzer General 2 with Strategic Command, so the core game is a series of strategic maps (Europe, Pacific etc) with turn based combat, unit research, resource management etc. AI is sometimes a little off for attacking nations, but its still perfectly playable and enjoyable.

Thanks again!

@Fairline Well, I happen to have the Farmans and the Latecoere ready.

The Latecoere 299 was a French aircraft project from the late 1930s, designed as a multi-role military aircraft based on the earlier Latecoere 298 torpedo bomber used by the French Navy during World War II. However, the Late 299 itself did not progress beyond the prototype stage. The Latecoere 299-1 was intended as a land based ground-attack and torpedo bomber aircraft. Two prototypes of the Latecoere 299A heavy fighter were later built for the Nancys but didnt actually fly.

For some reason (lack of examples I was previously aware of) I had thought Farman military planes were unrepresented past the biplane level.

I've made some tweaks to the F.222 and L.299. The F.223 was a more modern (slightly) looking plane with a very different wing for, so I've drawn that one from scratch. Looks like there were a couple of different variants with alternate nose and tail plane:

Potez 453 floatplane fighter derived from the 452. A single prototype was built, first flown on 24 September 1935 edit σαν παντόφλα είναι, δε μπορώ ρε μλκ… 😂

Perfect, I was looking for one of these for a project I'm working on for the Hex of Steel game. Good work and thanks!

Talking of Hex of Steel, I've made up a set of replacement units which I'm thinking of releasing as a Steam workshop mod. This uses quite a few of your units; are you OK with me including them (with appropriate credit for yourself naturally)?

I actually own and have played Hex of Steel. It's a rather fun and interesting game based on historical WW2 battles and campaigns. My only caveat is that many of the scenarios (and there are many of them to choose from which is a definite positive) are not very well balanced, with the AI often times receiving substantial bonuses.

If you ever do release the mod on Steam, please let us know..

Will do.

I've actually been doing something similar for personal use, using sprites made here to replace the unit pictures for Bombur's Mod for Advanced Tactics Gold - the sprites I've managed to find here cover pretty much everything except some interwar units and some hypothetical prototypes. If people are interested - and the artists whose sprites I've used give permission - I'd be happy to post it for people to use.

On a somewhat related note, is there any good compliation page for sprites? I've found that a lot of sprites are scattered across different pages in different threads so it's a little difficult to hunt down what's where - big sheets like Fairline's compliations are really useful but I don't know how up to date the ones I've got are.

Feel free to use anything of mine for your mod. As for the unit compilations, I'm adding recent units to them currently and I'll post soon.

I've been trying to think of a good indexing scheme through the SLeague Wiki but haven't had the time to hone a proper outline. Otherwise, we could pull from Ye Olde Civ3 C&C and sticky a master thread with direct links. It would be great if there was a way to content-tag individual posts for a forum search; even on vBulletin file names were always finicky.
