Play as US, UK commonwealth, France, Russia or China on the allied side, or play as one of the three major axis powers of Germany, Japan, and Italy.

Known issues to be fixed for v 7: Possible name changes; rename most city states to avoid confusion; does not work with Call To Power, will fix govt policies soon, and release separate, ctp version.

The Axis has two juggernauts to be dealt with...

With a massive economy, but small starting military, can the US turn the tide?

New version(1/21/2011) fixes visibility and adds small balance tweaks. Further cities and units have been deleted from the simplified version.

How the heck do I play it? DL'd it and the CTP-Mod, installed both, activated them - but the scenario doesn't show up in the Senario List, nor is there a box to check in the Advanced Setup. I've looked everywhere, but I can't find any way to start this. What am I missing....????

New version on the way, until yesterday I didn't understand how to get the map to show up.

*As of beta version 3 the map will now appear when installed from the modhub, and visibility fixes were inputted.

Your WWII scenario seems to have gone missing from sourceforge. It was there a few days ago as I grabbed it and was using it but have since deleted all and reinstalled and can no longer see it for download?

It is back up on the hub. Teams have been removed so that your allies can no longer make peace for you, and to slow Allied tech growth. The AI will still, unfortunately, most likely make peace with each other.

Can someone please tell me how to start this scenario? I've DLed the newest version and can start a game using the CTP Mod and the scenario maps, but only the regular game, starting with a settler etc. in the ancient era.
The scenario doesn't show up in the Scenario List, where, up to now, I only have the Mongol scenario from the DLC. I've played lots of mods, but no scenarios up til now.

This is driving me crazy. How do I start the darn thing?

Dragonlord, in game set up select the map that goes with the scenario, and a button should then show up under the map once you've selected it which says "Load Scenario." I'll try to upload a screenshot soon.

I found it! Thank you! No need for the screenshot...

@Buddha: The button is very hard to see, as the map description spills over it.

Now to go try out the scenario! *rubs hands*

Could you upload an image please ? i can't find the button.
My monitor resolution is 1280*1024

Ok i found it, but not in advanced game set-up where i'm searching :)

Why years pass at 10 year for time at marathon speed? in normal speed you jump from 1939 to 1979 !

I must do some special setting ?

Im going to download this but just to be clear. All I have to do is download it, install it, go to set up game, pick a leader, and check load scenario

New version beta 5(3/12/2011) fixes tech race, disabling some techs, while making others very expensive.

@ Buddha, do you still nead to copy the map in your wwII scenario's maps folder to the maps folder in documents\ my games\ sid meier's civilization 5 \ maps folder for the Beta 5 version?

Downloaded the zip file and extracted into Mods folder, also copied map into Maps folder in case that was necessary. Scenario could then be enabled and run.

I bumped the difficulty to Emperor and tried Germany first. Some odd things happened. A couple of turns in I got a message that Vienna (one of my cities) declared war on me, which of course it did not. Shortly thereafter Mussolini denounced me and became hostile. Thought he was supposed to be an ally. A couple turns later the Neutrals denounced me and at the same time asked for help against Greece. Odd. England and Arabia offered huge rewards for peace on turn 7 (after Paris fell), and on turn 8 the whole thing crashed. Sigh. I did like the way several CS's declared war in a reasonably historical fashion (Belgium, Copenhagen, Oslo). And there was an interesting challenge around having enough coal, etc. Overall I liked it and will try again with a different country selection.

Thanks, as of right now I can't set any relationship status, the best I can do is give defensive pacts. If permanent war or peace is ever fixed, I'll fix the scenario to where sides only declare war on historical opponents. The Vienna that declared war on you was the city state Vienna, with it's capital renamed something else. As I'm sure this is confusing, renaming city states to match their capital in game is top on my priority for the next update. I'll have to create my own set of city states to do it though, I think. If any of the resources turn out to be a problem let me know, I tried to balance historical accuracy and playability there, so it probably needs some tweaking toward the playability side.
