Wyrmshadow's Battleships

It's about twice as massive as a german pocket battleship like the Spee. So about 20-25 thousand tons.

The USS Kentucky was the 5th Iowa class but it was never finished and only left as a hull at the end of the war. I think sometime in the 1950's the USS Wisconsin had a collision with a destroyer and it took off the bow, the Kentucky hull was used to repair it.

During the war, the US put a halt to Battleship construction in favor of destroyers and more carriers. Limited resources had to be allocated and as impressive as the US war economy was, the shipyards were still limited to what they could build. What if the US sold at a nominal fee the hull of the Kentucky to the Brittish during the war? The Brits then outfitted it with their own superstructure and weapons.

I got this idea from a What-If modeling forum I visit all the time.

Wonderful additions to the Italian navy! Do you know when they will be released?
EVERYTHING will come out at the same time. As a bundle with SOE.
