Damage texture is applied as overlay. I'ts mostly transparent anyway, only blending in the parts that are actually damaged. If you set the UV map in a way, where a small, comletely transparent part of the texture is applied to the whole model, you get no discoloration. This is waht happens when there is no damage, via animated uv.
Just keep the few pixels it zooms to really transparent - most of the time these are right in the middle of the texture image.
 
thanks refar, checked the position you gave and exactly there was a dark hit spot painted.

i used another texture (damage stats standard mech infantry) and changed the colour to fit to the model, clearing the spot and your texture also worked

you know that you didn´t included the tower texture in the Rosomak rar? ;)
and without the changed kf there will be no damage texture on the tower (but even with it is barely visible in game).

Yep, just wanted to say the same thing, Tower.dds and Tower_gloss.dds are missing :)
 
it depends, i test the model as replacement of the "original" one (the one from the animation), in this case it´s enough to drop only the changed files in the folder. If used as new unit, it is necessary to use the original animation files with the new 4 kf files
 
That's ok.
I mean, adding shaders, gloss, damage states, optimizations - you bring the units to life, make them shine as they should!
I hope you'll continue your work, there are so many cool units that could be even cooler!
