Gaaa! Friday night is not good for me. Ok how about postponing the start to next week tuesday. This way everyone has enough time to plan ahead again.

It is hard to accomodate 10 people, especially if they ' re spread all over the world in different time zone. It's the thing you have to deal with to meet your game mates in our day and age.

Before it gets out of hand with someone else saying they cannot make it on Tuesday, maybe we just get back to your original proposal of delay, Thursday same time, as it seems to fit most except me. I' ll try to do something about it...

So, is it normal to make your first move (i.e. end turn 1) after you claim your Civ before a 'quick start' session, or should I wait until the session? Or doesn't it matter?

I think everyone can play normally. In the end, after the accelerated start, everyone will have the same amount of turns completed.

Yeah, same puzzle. First logon, I claimed and saved without finish the turn. When I saw China was not registered to my name, I went back later to finish the turn, but it's still not registered...

Xeophist, your offer would be great. Could you hurry and visit before December this year ? ( Plan to invade North America around that time, and your offer would surely be withdrawn by then..)

Uuuum ... one small thing. Won't a new turn start in about 4 hours anyway? I guess the 'accelerated start' doesn't have to start from turn 1?

Civgeek > exactly. I think from game point of view, it doesn't matter that the accelerated start will happen at the second turn. In the end, everyone will have the same amount of turns.

Alrighty, I hope everyone has THE definite strategy and confidence that they will win this game. Let us recreate history, I'm sure that we'll see many interesting wars, double-crossings, dastardly sabotages, but also great cooperation and big alliances!

Tomorrow we'll give it a kick start, and from then on, only god know how it will proceed.

I tend to agree with vilemerchant, tho the first say 50 turns or so are the most easy turns in moving 1 maybe 2 units and pressing enter...

So a powersession is most usefull as close to the start as we can....

The sooner the better, I suppose, although the game is 'live' and running now so as long as people realize that and don't wait for the start session before logging on to get going, then no harm, no foul.

OK, I'm a little confused, but I think I'm sorted now. I see the first turn as Mali has been played, but netbjarne has now taken Spain, and I have Mali (and his crown). The accelerated start will happen sometime next week, and in the meantime we're playing one turn per day. Is that right?
