wednesday is fine by me.
Too bad PitBoss can't be set so it starts a new turn either after x hours or once all players have completed their turn.xeophist said:I was the last to play my turn. Actually I should have a bit more time on my hand from now on, so I'll play my turns sooner as well (probably resulting in quicker turn times).

Daylight saving changes already applied or not?xeophist said:OK everyone, I'm setting the accelerated start on Wednesday 19:00 GMT+1.
I didn't know that; that is obviously EXCELLENT design .....netbjarne said:But that is actually how it works. Once all the players has ended their turns, or the turntimer runs out (whatever comes first) - a new turn is started and the turntimer is reset.
I'm hosting another pitboss game, and we are typically finishing 2 - 3 turns a day, even if the turntimer is set to 24 hours.
But it is important that the playes ENDS their turns - not only do their moves and quits the game - otherwise well have to wait for the turntimer to run out.
Actually, at this point in the game, for only 2-3 turns, you could just pre-program a few moves for your unit(s) and possibly your next build and not miss anything.xeophist said:I had to switch myself to AI as I won't be able to play over the weekend. Ahh well, seems like my Real Life (tm) interferes with the game too much. I'm able to do the administrative tasks though. The wednesday accelerated start will happen of course.
Please don't claim my civ![]()
Yep thats true, offcourse then we "only" get one turn a day... but you do keep control of your CIV....Civgeek said:Actually, at this point in the game, for only 2-3 turns, you could just pre-program a few moves for your unit(s) and possibly your next build and not miss anything.
Winter time is the normal time, we in Holland are currently on Summertime which is GMT +2, instead of our normal GMT+1,.garf said:Daylight saving changes already applied or not?
So 19:00 GMT+1 is in Europe 19:00 or 20:00?
Because (for example) Australia=vilemerchant is not using daylight saving currently ;-)

Can you use the Warlords disk to run a vanilla Civ session? I'll have to check that out.ptpan said:You're not, if we count from the list in Civstat.com.
I may also be the cause of this error message (?). I was playing with Warlords, and later used that version to log on to pitboss. I'm not sure, but I remember vaguely reading a similar error message. Later on, I launched Civ4 vanilla, and logged on & finished my turn without incident. Just posting here to help our trouble-shooting efforts...
