XML file heirarchy question. Need help from modders.

I have yet another question I need answered for BtS since I have not yet modded it and I need to know for the XML editor I am creating. So if you know something about modding for both versions...

Does BtS check for a Warlords file before it checks for a Vanilla file when a BtS file doesn't exist? Or does it go straight to the vanilla folder? In a sense, I am asking if BtS is based on what exists in warlords.

I need to know so that the editor checks things in the right order as well.

yes, it checks for warlords first. Charismatic trait for example is defined only in Warlords.

I'll second that. Resources I believe is also found in Warlords.
