XML files editing

hi everyone . Does anyone know which xml files are used to edit the units maintanace costs of units and by eras too cos I'm trying to find out how can I reduce these too cos it becomes v hard to maintain them cos they cripple economy
I tried looking in global xml file but couldn't find anything

Any help will be much appreciated thx in advance

have you try the unit.xml search for maintenance

If not in Xml, probably with Sql, see "Slower Tech by Era" mod component.

it's per unit, in the units' data. so you'll have to edit them individually.

Yeah maintenance is in the Units.xml, though I am having trouble getting my tweaks to actually apply. Even when I make changes in the files nothing actually changes in game so I must be missing something.

Yeah I got it working. This is my first time modding a civ game, I came from making mods for Paradox games. I am used to having modified copies of the master file as the mod, not just database updates.
