Yet another Orbis PBEM

Our scouts have found just outside the eastern borders of the Hippus the fabled Pool of Tears and the infamous Mirror where the source of Sun Manna can be found. Its easy to understand why this accursed Desert spawned. Ancient ruins nearby hold demonic guardian vines as well.

By mage-king's decree Amurite citizens with no skill in magic can now be used as slaves by the Mage Guild. The decision has caused an uproar among the common folk.

Queen Alexis congratulates you! This brilliant idea is applied in our society as well - almost everybody is a govermental slave

Maer declare that people shall revert to The Ways of The Ancients, and shall suffer no false religion. The people become unruly for a short period of time. In the meantime, Mechanos scouts continue to look around.

Needles the Adventurer, after having spent some time in the wilderness, developed an affiliation to wolves. Strange habits. He seems to be really different then the rest of our folk.

We discovered the land of Belseraph. Welcome Great Master of Ceremony, we come in peace.

Pepin the Short reports from the Far East: Sire, we have seen the lands of endless carnival, harlequins and festivals. The folks living there seem to be very far from our way of life and most probably are worshipping Tali or even worse. It is really hard to discuss with them as their opinions seems to be very unstable.

Thane-Of-All-Khazad orders his ambassador in Technocracy of Mechanos to kindly ask their leader for her advice on what approach is recommended in our contacts with Belseraph.

Debauchery is at an all time low for the Balseraphs. The wise men are feverishly researching a top secret project. The military is working from dawn to dusk recruiting warriors in order to crush the Doviello scum. Partying is only half the night these days

Move to Spuma!

Our overseas city of Peninsulilde was under deadly threat from wandering orcish scum. In the nick of time, when our marvelous harbour town was to be overrun by savages, a surprising resistance has emerged from local citizens, lead by a cunning mind. When you'd expect this saviour to be one of the many adventurous gents who gather around our guilds, all the people from the capital and it's lands were dumbfounded to find a woman instead, by the name of Rahymne. Blessed she was deemed to protect proud seafaring people with a band of warriors she appears to have trained herself, when our government offers next to nothing in defense troops. Further in it's assumptions went our folklore, because for a humble lass to take such a step and come out in one heroic piece she must be sent from the heavens.

And for months her legend has spread to unprecedent levels, all the inhabitants east and west becoming knowledgeable of her feats. The status quo of our statesmen aided for this matter to take on revolutionary flavour, when the once atheistic common men clamored for her installment as our divine sovereign. They have drawn upon our ancient lore, filled with god kings who ruled the founding fathers to great glory, established the Gregori as they came to be known, and lived long prosperous lives until being replaced by their descendents. Why had the people lost the ways of their heritage? This must be a sign from the ancestors, that we may once again flourish out of divine rule.

And that's how not only did my username change, but so did our people's ways. After many revolts, bringing down the elite who guided our country to stagnation, followed by a dark stretch of anarchic years, Rahymne was finally named, by her faithful people, their God Queen, and once again had the commonfolk trust that we're being lead to something greater.

News reached the capital of the death of one of our beloved scouts at the teeth of wolves. The people of Remas hold a vigil in their honor. But, grieving cannot last and the Mechanos go on....

In answer to our friends The Khazad, We should extend the olive branch of peace to the Twisted Carnival. Perhaps they can be an ally, if Perpentach can keep in his right mind. Remember, at one time he was an honest man....But be ever wary of any tricks.

It is the way of Mechanos to keep all the gears in this machine we called life, free of debris and unneccesary rust. To do that, all wheels and cogs should be cleaned and approached the same way. As is for the Balseraph, shall be for the Amurites and The Grigori...and even the night loving Calabim....friendly open trade and honest dealings. We shall bear no arms against them unless threatened and if so, then shall be unrelenting resistance.

Iado the Warrior defeated an undead apparition threatening the Amurite capital Cevedes. As a reward he and his family are freed from slavery despite having no magical talent. People of Cevedes are disgruntled that the Mages took no measures to neutralize the incoming threat.

Our southern scout reports The Hippus have control over the site of ancient earth magics, The Standing Stones.

After a long period in the capital to set things running in all the right ways, Queen Rahymne returns to her hometown and port city of Peninsulilde, where she trains an army from the best and brutest of the eastern Gregori, and makes for the unknown east marsh. Like every leader worthy of the people's approval, she has in her heart adventure.

OOC: Every time I boot up Orbis I can't help but think the menu theme is from Rome Total War. Maybe it's just me..

The rumour has it, that the Grigori are mobilizing a warband for reasons unknown. Our answer so far is strengthening the intelligence and reconnaissance at our southern borders. Something stirs in the air. We will be prepared.
