Yet another Orbis PBEM

AI does cheat. It is written in the holy scripture (\Assets\XML\Gameinfo\CIV4HandicapInfo.xml) than on Monarch:

<iAIGrowthPercent>80</iAIGrowthPercent>

which I believe means that the food bar for AI is 20% shorter making it 12 or 13 on size 2. Half of the bar is already filled, which makes 6 or 7 :food: enough for a pop growth. I guess that's what happened.

AI is stupid anyway, so I'm fine with this kind of compensation.

Hey, I've just found some peoples and can already see the outline of another AI borders though haven't met them yet. Should I start enforcing our pact on them yet? (I'll try even though I have no warriors :D)

Attention Spuma! I think i got the wrong save, please resend

Oh crap, I'm trying again and again and can't seem to generate a save where it asks for your password.
I took the chance of punching in my password, worrying that it might show your screen. But it showed mine, apparently something got bugged because I met another leader, so when I type password and press enter it takes me to the diplomacy screen. I close that screen and the game is paused, unpausable, and if I save it then, and load it, it just takes me to the diplomacy screen again, ad infinitum. Clicking the end turn button does nothing as the turn has already ended. Any ideas?

I initially thought I had screwed up because I tried to make contact (clicked the AI's name) even after my turn had ended, and obviously didn't get contact.
But now I'm loading the save fresh as mcwill sent me, and hit this brick wall.

I have also seen the outline of a civ's borders. By its green-ness I can guess they are horse tribes of the desert. I am of no fear. Their horses might find it difficult to move into my mountain kingdom.

Mayby try to do you turn once again from scratch on another PC (if you have one) or ask some other person to do it for you?

I think this happens when you already have a save file for that turn. You might try deleting the old one and replaying your turn. By that I mean deleting the file that you have been trying to send out.

I find it funny that when you say "your turn", for me it really means clicking the end turn button.

Yay! That did it, thanks for the tip, mcwill! So the problem is I had actually redone my turn in the first place, because the first time around I saw my borders expanding and popping a goody hut as the turn ended, and that's allowing me to pump up research since I got gold from the hut. So I've redone it, this time placing a big CAPS sign on my capital to remind me of tuning up research next turn. Like the last time I forgot to change civics. I keep forgetting to do the only things I can even do :D

I believe it might be the reason of problem. If you have one save already, you must delete it manually before playing again

Oh, I feel like you might have disclosed intelligence to me, so I'll even it out by saying that the outline I spoke of is green as well.

Game sent to Lgaard
Calabim people still feel very very alone in this big world...

Hey, I've just found some peoples and can already see the outline of another AI borders though haven't met them yet.

In my case it was a map generously offered by tribal village elders (i wanted technology but they must've been Amish). Fortunately though, the map uncovered a few tiles of a HUMAN civilization.

So I see and greet one of you, although you haven't met me yet. :scan:

Huh, I start to wonder if Needles the Adventurer (in my service) is in fact a Grigori spy. Or a double agent, who knows...:scan:

We claimed the abandoned keep high at the mountain pass.
Scouts report barbarian lands to the south.

A Rogue pride of lions charged into our borders and enslaved our worker, they must assuredly be controlled by an evil entity. To repulse the lions assault and try to free our people we in turn assult the lion and lose many a warrior in the process....slaying the beasts, but in the process not freeing our people, who remain under bestial control.

On the edge of the Mechanos border was a tribal vilalge, which one of our band of warriors stumbled into, finding many orcan warriors....prepare to defend.

our other scouts find more tribal villages and the north east border of the Hippus nation...rumor comes back of other nations nearby ......

(ok how can lions grab workers for slaves? hmmmm? :D )

gps turn 5 to Mcwill

It is a good sign: nature itself rebels against technicized Mechanos
