Yet another ZWK Game.

aight, good.

The only real problem I have is that elibb doesn't try to redo his turn, he replays it. I sure wouldn't mind a second time around to tweak things differently.....

However, I guess we will have to give him a third time around. :(

sas needs to repost his saved game after turning off all the modifiers. I just compared the two games again and the first one also had double production on, so that means that even if the Axis player turned the options off when he was first able to, his cities still got the double production bonus for that turn.

Ok, let's just be waiting for that then.

Actually, this time I moved everything exactly the same. If you're talking about the captital ship I won't use the second bomber on it if I think it's going to kill the ship next time arount. I wasn't able to capture Brussels because my units can't get there without double movement turned on.

Well, not really.

The first time there were troops in Amsterdam, second time, none.
First time you killed my damaged fighters using AA guns, this time you killed one damaged and one healthy fighter using fighters.

Little things like that. They are still well within the scope of the game, but are things that were changed after you've had another chance to do things.

Just so you all know, Willem V. is starting YET another ZWK PBEM. I think it's really cool to do three at a time, maybe someone else will, and it'd be even cooler if it was generally the same people.

You notice more about the things I change than I do. I'll do those things the same as the first time as soon as sas posts.

Well, you have to remember that I interact with a very small part of your units. So, when I try to bombard Amsterdam and it tells me that only land units can occupy a city, I notice that. ;) The other 99% of your moves may be exactly the same, but I wouldn't be able to tell, so, to me, it seems like quite a bt of changes. :)

You can do your turn as you see fit, as long as there are no major changes. I'll get to all of your troops eventually. :p

"In a recent development in the French parliament, the minister of interior and the defence minister was sacked earlier today.
The reason for this action was after charges of corruption and serious mismanagement of their respective department. There has also been made allegations that they where on the pay list of the German secret service Gestapo."

"The French high command announced today that after a fierce tank battle, we didnt managed to retake Lyon. Military casualties where light, only one M3 battalion was lost. We managed to destroy one Ju87 Stuka and one Panzer II"

Summary:

*Another try to get the military production back on track.

-Sas-

Kovno, Copenhagen and Brussels captured.
2 damaged Spitfire squadrons shot down.;)
Youth Movement not purchased. (I don't have enough money without double production.)
Moved units to defend Amsterdam.;)
Captital Ship not destroyed.

I don't think you actually needed to replay your whole turn sas, only turn off double production. Oh well, it doesn't really matter. :)

EDIT: Obsolete Save deleted.

Hey elibb, I thought you were going to do the same moves the same as the first time through? The cursor was in a different spot this time. ;)

Well, where to start....

The Allies capture Tobruk in Africa following on the heels of the Minor Axis retreat. We shall see how fast they can run.

The RAF and Royal Navy conducted joint exercises around Amsterdam. All units north of Essen were destroyed less two AA guns. The cities of Emden, Amsterdam, and Rotterdam have been emptied of all units.

The RAF had to go looking for more targets and found a stack of units next to Brussels which was destroyed, killing 3 units at once!

Methinks I left too many bombers to protect the east front in case of a Russian attack and not enough to protect my armies from the RAF and Royal Navy. :scan:

Sorry I took awhile, I did the turn right after Duke posted, but then I couldn't get back online to post mine, and then I forgot.

Nothing new:

- Withdraw from area around Soviet Greece to focus on the British.

- Continuing to withdraw from Libya until some naval solution comes, and there is none.

Vilna has been secured ,Riga captured.

Russia stays reserved toward's diplomacy from all sides at this moment. :D

gonna add some more later.

In a continued operation to clean out incompetent officials, several people in key places was fired today after serious mismanagement. It seems the Germans had more influence in the French administration than initially thought.

As a consequence, the factories was given phoney orders yet again. This have set back the production another two weeks.

The news from the front;

*In a large battle near Dijon, French forces where able to drive the Gremans back from the City border. Unconfirmed reports claim 2 German panzer division was destroyed. French losses was one Spitfire Wing and one M3 division.

*French armored divisions attacked Brussels today, hoping to exploit the confusion in the German ranks after the capture of the city. The result was a catastrophy for the French army, loosing 3 divisions of M3's and killing none. It seems the M3 is to weak to match the German Panzers in head to head battle.

Only one Wellington shot down near Rotterdam.
Esbjerg captured.
Reims bombed and militia killed.
A german Me109 squadron was shot down by an allied captital ship while pursuing a helpless spitfire near Amsterdam.

EDIT: Obsolete Save deleted.

Greece is under protection by Soviet Union, does that include Crete?

The Allied command reports another round of Victory!

Foolish Axis planes trying to bother my Greek friends were destroyed on an airbase as they attempted to refuel.

Another Axis Sub was destroyed in the North Sea. No signs of escort planes or ships were seen.

Emden and Amsterdam were once again ridded of the Axis troops trying to occupy them (destroyed!).

Two Axis fighters were destroyed near Brussels.

Two Axis units were destroyed while trying to besiege Dijon.

The RAF is just waiting to destroy more Axis bombers around Amsterdam. Please, please, please.... :)

Can you tell we like to use the word 'destroyed'? :D

Our only sad news is that we have found no Minor Axis units to destroy this round.
