Your CIV quirks

I'm still too reluctant too tech-trade. I know that if you use it wisely it can be greatly to your advantage, but often I either forget about the possibility or I just don't want to share my precious knowledge.
And I just can't stand Montezuma, but that feeling seems to be mutual.

I don´t do lumberjacking, all woods remain untouched (unless there is a resource in it that requires me to build a mine for example).

I always name my ships, I am superstitious on that - a ship has to have a name.

I always name my cities right, for example a city like New York or Hamburg lies at the ocean, cities like Munich or Pittsburgh don´t. So I won´t name a city "Hamburg" if it has no ocean and I won´t name it Munich if it does.

I don´t open my borders most of the time (in some games it´s inevitable though), I don´t like foreign troops running around in my territory and I don´t like to open ways for other´s settlers to not yet populated places.

You're missing out on profitable foreign trade routes, General R :o

I name all my leaders after the great but mysterious Owlperson, my boss and political mentor. I also use nicknames, e.g. I'm currently playing Rameses II so it's "Owlrambo" all the way. If I restart a leader it becomes e.g. Owlrambo II, Owlrambo III, Owlrambo IV...I've had "Owlgamesh XX" before now but that's cos I like playing Sumeria. "Owlpacman XCIX" (Pacal II) was just me mucking around.

Playing a female leader (I do so rarely because apart from Elizabeth I they're not all that great) I of course make myself Crowqueen or Crowlizabeth or Crowsepshut or something like that.

Pedantic note @Junuxx, that means Montezuma feels the same way about you, not that everyone else here feels the same way. But never mind that...I'm just hyperliterate.

lately, i've been avoiding religions and refusing to convert to any state religion if somehow, a religion spreads to one of my cities. in all of my anti-religion games, i won. but they were all noble games.

i intend to get even more anal and start using only "non-barbaric" civics, unless i haven't researched any yet.

actually i did win with queen victoria (noble game, domination) using only the "civilised" civics and no state religion.

I need to be the first one to discover Theology, and will sacrifice researching other more "valuable" techs in order to do so...
