Your Favorite Sitcom episodes.

The episode from Coupling where Jeff has too many legs is hysterical.

We're dating ourselves with some of these, Married With Children was on so long it was a generational bridge.

It would start riots today.

Yeah, back when politically incorrect was still considered funny. While sometimes I think we've gone too far, some of it was cringe worthy.

Here's another great scene from Coupling.

(You probably dont want to watch this at work).

Spoiler :

Friends, The Office and Parks and Rec are the top of my list. I think Friends was the steadiest out of the three, with The Office getting weak after Michael Scott's departure and Parks and Rec becoming a sappy, saccharine-sweet piece of wish fulfillment in the final season.

My only problem with Friends is the focus on Rachel and Ross, two characters that were really not very likable. I enjoyed the rest of the cast.

There was this episode of Frasier I liked, where he hires Victor Garber as his butler. Victor expertly fixed all of Frasier's problems. I found this enjoyable, because after watching him self-destruct over and over again year after year, it was really neat how you'd see the mistakes he was making and you just know what's going to happen, but Victor headed him off and stopped him from ruining himself. This episode only worked late in the show. I think also that's the one where Niles finally told Daphne he loves her.

I like it when he told her, but that killed a whole line of humor that had run rampant through out the series.
I liked the ski lodge episode. As you say, watching the pompous get their punishment was the primary theme of the show.

How? Ross and Rachel were both self-absorbed. Joey was likeable but a sleaze. Monica was neurotic and mean. Phoebe and Chandler were mostly alright I guess.

Just one of those shows I couldn't grok with a positive vibe, like Seinfeld.

Been mourning the passing of Sir Galahad and watching episodes of The Flying Circus. Not sure if that qualifies as a sitcom, but thoroughly enjoyed the cheese shop and cross country cycling bits last night.

How could I have forgotten Frasier? My wife hates it after Niles and Daphne get together but I don't mind that. If anything, I got turned off by the continual, over-the-top self-defeat of the Frasier.

I wasn't a big fan of the show either. Joey was more of an idiot than a sleaze. ;)

I loved Friends. Some of my favorite episodes are the ones where Ross was trying to flirt with the pizza delivery lady, and the one where Chandler though Joey gave Monica money for breast augmentation. Oh, and the one where Ross is having difficulties with the spray tanner, lol!

He was both, lol. I love the one where he hires Phoebe as his agent.

Phoebe: "This one said you're pretty, but dumb."
Joey: *makes a face like he's okay with that*
Phoebe: "Oh sorry, it says 'pretty dumb'."

I rarely remember individual episodes, but I remember liking this one south park episode called Grey Dawn where all the old people started driving their cars through houses and stuff. It was awesome.

I seem to recall the Futurama episode where they deliver a package to a world where everyone is made out of water and Fry drinks their king accidentally. Then he becomes the new ruler due to how their succession works, each ruler is eventually assassinated and the assassin takes the crown. Pretty funny stuff.

Curb your Enthusiasm are all good, though I've not seen the newer seasons, only the first few. The one where Larry goes on a shopping date with Mary Sternberg and her mother and then accidentally sips the mother's water and he makes this disgusting face lol. It's so offensive and funny and then Mary and Ted don't call Larry and Cheryl after that and he has to explain to her what happened. There's also one I vaguely remember where Larry has those pants on that have a stiff fly so it looks like he's aroused and then Cheryl's friend like rubs his shoulders or something and thinks he is aroused and he has to once again explain the whole thing to Cheryl. Basically anything where he has to explain a bunch to his wife is funny.

Seinfeld I haven't seen in so long it's hard to recall, but I remember the one where Jerry shaves his chest and then basically turns into a werewolf cus it grows back thicker, and then of course the famous one where Kramer and Newman have this scam to drive pop cans to Michigan and make a bunch of money off the deposit but it all goes to hell and Kramer says they're burning too much money on gas cus the post office truck is too heavy so he throws Newman off. The George one where he has shrinkage. Lol. Lots of chuckles.

I loved the office but can't think of specific episodes. Same with How I Met Your Mother. I liked Veep, Barry and Crashing but not any particular episodes.

But probably the greatest singular moment for me in comedic tv is Silicon Valley, the finale of season 1 when they get into the ideal tip to tip ratio coefficient for maximum efficiency. I can't say anything else, it's definitely NSFW but go see if you can find a youtube clip of it. Hilarious.

Boondocks: the season 1 episode, Riley Was Here (honorable mention to the episode where Huey frees Brother Shabazz from the prison and he is saved from imminent execution for a crime he didn't commit)

South Park, so many good episodes

1 Trapper Keeper, a take on The Terminator as Cartman's new fancy computer merges with him, Rosy O'Donnell and tries to reach the missile base outside of Denver. Rosy was in town to protest the kindergarten vote for class president because her nephew lost.

2 Sea People - "Simpsons did it, Simpsons did it". Brine shrimp + semen = Seaciety. They worship Cartman and Butters as gods and kill each other over it.

3 Scott Tenorman Must Die - Cartman feeds Tenorman his parents for selling him pubic hair

I just got the first disc of S11 of South Park and rewatched those episodes for the first time since they aged and I felt like it didn't age that well. I have no desire to go back to the even earlier seasons as the run from like S8 to S16 (ish) was kind of the peak of the show.

The Imagination Land 3-episode arc and the 2-episode Go God Go story were pretty amazing television programming though.

What's the one where they decide god is stupid in the future and instead all worship science as a deity instead and then the otters attack? Is that go god go?

Yes, Cartman freezes himself cuz he cant wait for a new gaming system. Enter Buck Rogers theme music and he's revived in a future where god has been replaced by science and they're fighting over some other stupid reason.
