TERRENE SKELLUM
As stated before moof has become enchanted with an idea that
Tim the Enchanter mentioned a long time ago.
Basically you play as a barbarian type civ,
1. You never build a City.
2. You never build any City Improvements.
These two rules, although Tim had three, seem to be enough.
Cornmaster replied, in the orginal thread about ZCC,
that this was a way that cornmaster had played Civ before.
Although Cornmaster asked Tim several questions about the way
Tim had played ZCC, there was no reply by Cornmaster saying
what self-imposed Rules Cornmaster played ZCC with.
So realizing that these were not " Rules " persay,
and after playing enough ZCC to think we are somewhat able
to have an opinion, we wanted to get some
feedback/input and had a couple questions.
1. Cornmaster what rules did you play ZCC by ?
2. Why does ZCC need more than two rules.
-----------------------------------------
Rule for Zero City Challenge
#1. Never build anything but units.
#2. Never sign a ceasefire for anything but Gold.
-----------------------------------------
Now for random thoughts on ZCC.
moof guidelines for ZCC,
Search out huts & till a city is discovered.
These next options depend on your troop strength & City location.
If it is a size two city we camp out next to them till they attack us,
after they attack if their flag has dropped we take the city.
As a size two ungarrisoned city we take over the city.
If it is a size three city we attack hoping that
they have only one or two defenders.
If they are a size one city we usually camp out
close to them till they acquire a second citizen.
After you get a city Barbs become a problem but by
the time the citys we find are ready to be taken we usually have enough troops to overcome most barbarians from huts plus this gives the opportunity to get a few Veteran troops.
We carefully watch all the wonder updates to see who to capture to get the wonders we need, Hanging Gardens, Great Wall, Shakes Etc.
Well enough Novel for one post, looking forward to a little feedback.
p.s. Is ZCC a correct name considering you can have a ton of cities even when you never build them yourself ?
