LK163 - AWM, India

I like those nice ships in the background of your screenshot. :) They cannot be seen frequently in your succession games, as mostly these games are ended when these ships are appearing.

I think this game will go the furthest we have ever gone in the tech tree. The progress continues, but it already has us researching stuff we rarely do. At the end of my set we were it good shape, but there is still a *LOT* of territory to take to hit domination.

Flight completed with bombers coming is rare for us.

Pangaea tends to speed up AI tech progress as a lot more AI find each other early.

MOST IMPORTANT:

We have a SGL! Brahmagupta is fortified just N of Delhi. I didn't have anything useful to rush.

Hoover Dam is coming up soon - maybe use him on that?

I didn’t think Russian would fold so fast with the sheer number of units they had.

ROSTER:
LKendter (on deck)
Greebley
Elephantium
Jersey Joe (up? Way past Feb 18)

Sure, they had a lot of units. We had more.

We also had a good position to be mostly on the attack early during my set.

Elephantium, these are great reports about the succession game  and a special thank you very much for reporting three (!) errors in CCM 2.50 (a smiley for every one of these error reports: :):):)

I notice that we can build the Dehli class ship. Not Delhi class?

I will fix the wrong spelling in the next version of CCM to Delhi class.

We now control Cape of Good Hope...in a landlocked city? Huh?
@Civinator Can you comment?

So the Cross of Vasco da Gama at the Cape of Good Hope is completely surrounded by land, I agree that it is better to add the coastal flag to that GW. The same will happen to the Harbour of Carthage.

Turban Infantry dies on Adventurer - and just disappears. @Civinator, I'm not sure if it's just my machine or something wrong with the death animation.

Elephantium, in this case it is not your stone-aged laptop. The unit Turban Infantry, created by pi8ch is from the 'stone age' of Civ 3, too, and never had a death animation. I think I replace that unit in the next version of CCM with a unit created by Gary Childress.

Unfortunately my move was delayed by historic weather patterns through out the US (especially a frozen Texas). I just finished the move this week and just got internet access. I have many things I need to do to get settled properly. I need a skip.

@Civinator - how long to the next version of CCM? They are long turns, but I suspect we don’t have too much time left.

@Civinator - how long to the next version of CCM? They are long turns, but I suspect we don’t have too much time left.

The next version of the CCM 2.50 expansion will include the files that can also be used for playing the WW 2 scenarios SOE and WW 2 Global Gold. These are hugh projects and therefore this will still last months. For CCM 2.50 itself a try to fix the houseboat bug will be included. In my current testgame this bug didn´t appear yet, but this is no garantie, that this 'fix' will work. Additionally some minor fixes (p.e. the errors that were reported by Tusker in his last post) will be added.

Game preview report. This won't be the final set of the game. The mountains must be crossed to get enough territory to win. That will expose us to a lot of civs with possibly a ton of troops due to no wars.

I think we can set up a kill zone near Stranded In The Jungle. Towards the end of my set, I started moving planes back to our core -- Bombay will finish an Airport soon, allowing us to upgrade obsolete airframes. Half a turnset of smashing things crossing the mountains should make it pretty easy to start a big push.

1963 BC (0)
I can tell this is the furthest we have gone in the tech tree. I’m not used to seeing 3 move tanks in stock.

IIRC correctly to settler abandon a city at size one it must NOT be gaining population. We are getting 3 food in our center hex, so it will be impossible to setter abandon these cities. I will straight up abandon all of these cities. Sadly, I found that some of these cities are the only rail connection to parts of the empire. I will have to finish clearing them out after next year.

Former Korea badly needs railroads. I am not sure where else does.

This set will be a pain. We are at 45 of 58% of needed land. There isn’t enough left in Spain to cross the limit. I am going to have to cross the mountain range. I just have to figure out where. The first part of the set will be cleanup the stray cities on our side of the mountains. After that it will be a pause to get ready for the big cross.
(IT) Spain recovers Salamanca. It only had an artillery piece defending, so an adventurer snuck in. (0-1)
There is still some bombardment, but not as bad as my last set.
I watched a fighter intercept a zeppelin. Not a visual I am use to in CCM.
