Second Finnair flight turns back from Tartu due to GPS interference

On Friday night, a second Finnair plane, which was on its way from Helsinki to Estonia was forced to turn back as GPS interference meant it could not land in Tartu.

"The same thing happened as the day before. Somewhere half way along its route, the plane turned back, around 15 minutes before landing. The pilot said that approaching Tartu at night requires an accurate GPS signal, and there was not one because of interference from the eastern neighbors," a passenger, who was on board the flight, told ERR.

On Thursday night, another Finnair plan traveling from Helsinki to Tartu also had to turn around due to GPS interference.

However, the daytime flight from Helsinki to Tartu on Friday had no problems and was able to land in Tartu before later departing for Helsinki on schedule.

So, it is WW1 again.

Putin is laying the foundation for future warfare against the West. Kaliningrad must go.

Usually it goes like that
Maybe but is there proof it’s usually? You need to demonstrate what percentage of all reports are like that. Otherwise it’s just an unverified and baseless claim.

Start by providing sources in your own posts before asking others to do it for you.

"Percentage" The lol potential of these pro-russians is immense.

Btw, another hundred million dollars state of the art (for Russian standards) radar which didn't detect that much when mattered and got destroyed by a few grands Polish drone.

From that link:

"Earlier on Thursday, Russian Defense Ministry reported that Black Sea Fleet missile cruiser Moskva sustained serious damage after a detonation of ammunition, caused by an onboard fire. The Ministry said that the crew was evacuated to nearby Black Sea Fleet ships, adding that the cause of the incident is being determined."

I suspect it was a sailor smoking in a restricted area and not using an ashtray for his butt.

If it's still not obvious to somebody, similar reports about unlimited ukrainian crap obliterated is published by Russian MoD on a daily basis.

Difference is that one side complains about shortage of manpower while having non-stop mobilization for 2+ years.

How is this even sustainable? Unlimited russian crap obliterated or unreliable source?
Lots (and I mean LOTS) of materiel in storage (even at the insane pace they're burning through, it's said that Russia can still sustain these losses for two to three years) and about 30000 people recruited a month. There has been already articles and comments about it, and you can cross-reference implied Russian own numbers (for example, size of starting army + official numbers for the september 2022 mobilization + the number of people Russians claim to have active un Ukraine, then wonder where the few hundred thousand missing have gone, especially considering you need to also add the soldiers from military bases who have been sent to Ukraine ; or increase in disabled people from the 19-50 age since 2022).
The source is of course from a biased party, but there is also a huge wealth of documented visual evidence, which show that while the numbers might be inflated, the tendencies they show are sound and the actual losses are at the very least in the same ballpark when it comes to vehicles (and pretty on-point for planes).

Russian loses in this war are crazy, that is a fact and it would be stupid trying to deny it. Ukrainian loses otoh are more difficult to evaluate, judging by the amount of evidence we have they are way lesser than Russian loses. That can be interpreted as a Russian failure to provide evidence or as a Russian failure, period.

Here's another metric you can use to determine how costly and unsustainable the war is for Russia:

At around $1bn spent per day on the war since February 2022 in wages, supplies, ammo, weapons, fuel, vehicles, losses etc. each Russian citizen (from baby to pensioner) has financed the war with ~$5,400 per head to date.

If you make a similar calculation in cost per citizen for the US and Europe for all aid (military + financial + humanitarian) sent to Ukraine (including the recent $61bn package) to date, you get somewhere between $450-550 per head. Roughly 1/10th of what a Russian citizen is 'spending' on the war in average. To add, this comparison does not consider the gap between a Russian and American/European in terms of GDP per citizen.

Putin will be forced to choose between funding hospitals, schools and other state services, or financing the continuation of the war when the national wealth fund runs empty.

The Russians Are Rushing Reinforcements Into Their Ocheretyne Breakthrough. For The Ukrainians, The Situation Is Desperate.

Six days after breaking through Ukrainian lines west of Avdiivka, Russian brigades and regiments are slowly widening their salient—a five-mile-deep knife wound plunging into Ukrainian territory, its point lodged in the village of Ocheretyne.

The situation is desperate for the exhausted Ukrainian brigades in the area. It’s a foregone conclusion that the Ukrainians will lose a few villages around the Ocheretyne axis.

The real risk, however, is that the Ukrainian Tavriya Operational-Strategic Group—the command responsible for forces west of Adviivka—will have no choice but to cut its losses, retreat a few miles to the west and reconsolidate along a new defensive line threading north to southwest of Ocheretyne.
...

I thought that was acted (the retreat in that area) the day Russia captured that village.
