I think this post cannot be considered any form of 'ad' because what I acknowledge you isn't any kind of company.
For those who don't know it, 0AD is simply the biggest (I think) modding project of ALL THE INTERNEET. It is so big that it isn't even modding a game (age of Empires 2). It is creating an ENTIRE NEW GAME! (omg, omg).
This project is ongoing from 8 years up to now I think and still ververyvery alive. It is open source.

EVERYONE CAN CONTRIBUTE. I think that this community, like many others, should maybe put their modding efforts in this project rather in anything else because between other things, here your work is rewarded.

Why would I be interested? All you told me is "0 AD", "mod", and "Age of Empires 2".

More ontopic: Nice to see that this is still in developement. It's the flagship of RTS open source developement (probably the equivalent for Battle Of Wesnoth in the RTS area), and it will be interesting to see what will happen with it.
And I'm honestly suprised that we don't have yet a thread about it here o_O.

It would be interesting if there was AI so you could actually play around with it. Being a flagship of open course development means little when it hasn't exactly been that playable for however many years I've been hearing about it.

But it has an AI. And a very good one, especially when one thinks that it is being made by a community.
But don't play on maps with water. This AI can't handle the sea...yet
Or you just could wait a few days or weeks until the next AI is out. It will be much better

I thought his earlier post meant that the AI was being added soon, not the 5th version of the AI. I couldn't care less about MP and the last I'd heard of it there wasn't any AI which does kind of make it unplayable

Yeah the last time I read anything about it was more than that, it has been in development for like 10 years now.

Exactly, the pathfinding is their biggest problem right now is it consumes so much ram memory. They are fixing this, adding Indian civ and putting manymany new small things for Alpha 11
