Korea (600 AD start)
UHV1: 1 Buddhist and 1 Confucianist Cathedral by 1200
UHV2: First to discover Printing
UHV3: Sink 20 ships
Civics: Kept starting civics; Monasticism key to get GPs, Despotism to whip religious buildings, Caste system helpful for tile improvement, Citizenship for quick Library. Post 1200 switched to Meritocracy and Regulated Trade for stability.
Cities: Apart from founding the 2 core cities, I captured the barb city nearby and founded the fourth city 1S of deer in the north. Core cities start with Library, work boat / worker, monasteries, monks to spread religions, churches. Conquered city builds Crossbowmen on loop, coupled with the required temples.
Techs: Just beelined for Printing and then Gunpowder (Galleas). I got 3 GPs until 1200: GP bulbed Civil Service, GS most of Paper and Education, another GS Printing. Achieved printing in 1210.
UHV1: Fairly doable even with the occasional brutal barb attacks (5 or so stacks of Keshiks...), with limited whipping. I built the Cathedrals in Pyongyang (assigning all mined hills to it) and the northern city (plenty of wood to chop!). Condition achieved in 1190.
UHV2: As long as Seoul focuses on GPs and is able to generate 3 of them as mentioned above, it should be doable. Korean UP is of course absolutely essential and would not be possible without it!
Intermezzo: Mongols! On Paragon, they are just an unstoppable bully and the best strategy is to try to avoid / delay confrontation. It is tempting to reconquer the western city after it flips, but it won't help, in fact it will just draw a stack of 15 (!) Keshiks onto you which with their collateral damage is literally unstoppable. Hence I let them have the flipped city and stayed put building up a defensive force of ~14 crossbowmen. When they finally showed up it was only 2 stray horses and not their main force, and luckily they made peace for a tech after I caused 1 casualty for them. Shortly thereafter they collapsed and China resurrected, and from then on I didn't have to worry about attacks from the west.
UHV3: The quickest way is to start building War Galleys in all cities after 1200 and declare war on Japan. Initially they only had Cogs / War Galleys but they quickly got to Caravels (+50% coast strength...) so I pursued a kamikaze warfare (leave 1 WG on a tile bordering Japan, let them kill it and stay stuck in your territory, then kill it with your backup ships. Japan also tried to invade my land but they only unloaded 2 troops at a time so was easy to eliminate them with my massive Crossbow stack. Once I got to Gunpowder with the Korean special Galleas things become much easier and I achieved victory in 1530.
Stability: Generally fine even with funny civic combos, as your core cities are huge.
