100 Largest Cities in the World

Here is Marla Singer's World Map (Conquests) with 96 of the world's 100 largest urban areas placed on it. Some were omitted because they were just too close to another city.

Populations are in millions. Numbers are taken from Wikipedia's list of the 100 largest cities, found here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Largest_cities_of_the_world

This might be useful to somebody. I'm using it as a basis for a Cold War map, though I'll have to change the populations to account for the 40 years of growth and shifting population.

Oops, I forgot to actually upload the file.
Oh well, fixed now.

Note that I have all of the cities in the following civs: russian, American, Incan, Zulu, Arabian, and Indian. This is supposed to be the foundation for my Cold War scenario, which may or may not get worked on eventually.

I see an error. In India you have Mumbai and Bombay. They are the same city, Mumbai is the prefered non-English form. Mumbai is in the right place. Bombay is where Chennai (Madras) is located. You probably mixed 'em up. Calcutta should be known as Kolkata.

You're telling me, I am definately going to use it to help with some scenario creation. Do I need Adobe or something though? I have nothing to edit pictures besides Paint

I know its been a while since this map was posted, but I noticed another mistake. Mecca on the map should be Jeddah -- Mecca is not a very large city, but the port of Jeddah is (and is the 86th largest city in the world).
