1000 clues your civ3 management skills need help

374: You don't know that settlers exist, and all you build are warriors. (Guilty,
It was my first time playing.)

I almost said signing RoP with the Zulu, but it's also a bad idea to sign one with the Mongols, Germans, Vikings, and Aztecs, and it's a bad idea to sign an RoP with the Japanese, Chinese, and Romans if they have a history for war or are big.

I specifically said Shaka, cause he has those damn Impis.

375; Its before 1am when you accidently declare war on your best friend and major ally.

My point was, there are certain civs that cannot be trusted:

Most Untrustworthy:
Zulu, Germany, Russia, India

Usually untrustworthy:
Mongolia, Vikings, Aztecs, Japan, China

Sometimes untrustworthy, sometimes not:
Iroquois, Celts, Maya, Inca, Rome

The least untrustworthy, but you still can't always trust them:
France, Carthage, Persia, Arabs

I might add more to this list later.

You're really overinterpreting the C3C AI. They're all completely trustworthy, no joke.
The only thing that matters is their aggression level, and the relative power rating, which btw is influenced by the AI build preferences. So it's no surprise when a Civ that emphasizes on 'Offensive Land Units' and has an AL of 4 or 5 often attacks you...or, a builder Civ with a low AL (India!) rarely declares, but if they do...it gets ugly (since they simply have enough infra to be a threat) - but, that's by no means backstabbing. There is no difference in the AI personalities themselves.

CIV's Alex or Monty, now that's a completely different story :help: .

376: :spear: NEEDS to happen for you to win.
377: You try to kill 100 cavs with a solitary Modren Armour (guilty)
378: You hit your pc when your MI is defeated by a MDI and freeze the pc (guilty. the pc stil rebooted though)
379: You don't build settlers because TEY DUN'T HAV ANI ATTK PTS! (don't have any attack points)

@Doc Tvolsky: My point was, these are the AI that in my experience and from common experiences of other members, that backstab and are generally untrustworthy. I know the other 13 civs can be untrustworthy also, but you can trust them more (notice that all of the militaristic civs are on this list! ;)).
And we all know that Shaka, Bismark, and Cathy are backstabbers, and that Gandhi's words are backed with NUCLEAR weapons!

I dont know about you, but india backstabs me all the time! Mostly only early in the game though.

Funny how gandhi is such a warmonger in civ3.

I still do this with embarrasing frequency:

380: Your galley arrives at the coast with its last movement point and the game cycles to the next unit, and you forget to go back and activate/disembark the settler on the galley. This delays the founding of a new city by a turn; possibly even losing the spot.

381: You quit the game because your cultural advisor says that everyone is 'disdaindul' towards you and you think this means you are losing when you really aren't! Guilty (cheiftain days)

382: You disband your first city because you think that its eating up too much maintenance so you need extra cash!

@Bartleby: I do that too...
@axehaxe: You could have put those clues in 1 post.

383. You strategy involves pressing a button that gives you moderator powers so you can merge multiple enemy's units into just one, and then you delete it. ;)

384. You know you will win as soon as you find that button :)

363. Sliders? They're what your workers put down after roads to help your troops move quickly.

I thought sliders were cheeseburgers at White Castle.. (sorry, it's a regional joke)

386. You lose 5 Panzers to a spearmen before realising that you're trying to attack a city uphill across a river. <guilty>:spear:

@Pentium: I do not have such a button (If only I did...)! Where can you get one? (sorry if this isn't very funny)

I think the odds are still in favor of the Panzers, unless you attacked with 5 redlined Panzers

387. You think the chieftain AIs are cheating because they're expanding faster than you.

If the Chieftain AIs are expanding faster than you, they probably are cheating.

388: Enemy tanks move into your last city, defended only by a solitary spearman...on Chieftain.
