Don't push this too far, I'm not sure how the mods will take this...

I don't understand why this thread would upset a mod..

43) You can play Civ 2 in front of your kids, but the Civ 3 cartoon characters are kind of embarrassing.

lol.

In Civ 3 the economy is run by the state, not by each city, so when you pull a unit out of a city all the people don't get unhappy. I really like when the people get unhappy cause you can starve them to death and lose all your units in the town including settlers that are developing the town. Then you lose your units guarding the town and it is easily conquered by the enemy. :mischief:

You might learn something reading the Civ-II-opedia.

13. It's simple and does not try to be a grand game like so many games out there profess to be.
Certainly, CivII is, overall, a simpler game than CivIII, but how is it not grand? It's the definition of grand strategy!

Could it be possible to give the civ3 graphic interface to civ2, it's the single superiority I find.

Funny, I wish I could make Civ III look more like CivII.

And of course, there is no "spearman defeating tank" phenomenon in Civ2! :king: :ar15:

But a veteran pikeman fortifyed behind the walls of a mountain-river city is okay, right?

Your summary is not complete, but clearly gives three reasons for which I personnally prefer Civ II.
