1933 ww2 v7.0

I am downloading the MOD right now and your scenario is actually one of the reasons I am doing so. I can’t wait to try it.

One note just by reading the info in the first post I can see that the list of nations include Arabia. The fact is that Arabia has absolutely nothing to do with WW2. On the other hand Egypt was a forced ally of the British, and was a major target for the Axis at some time due to the oil in Suez gulf. And of course one of the most important WW2 battles was fought in Allamain on Egyptian land.

Of course neither Arabia nor Egypt would stand a chance in this scenario but at the time of the war Egypt was more important, and had actually more resources,(oil deposits in Persian gulf area weren’t yet exploited as they are now), and its army had some part in the fight though quite a negligible part.

At least Egyptian cities were bombarded during the war so they deserve being there in case someone likes to do it again.

Hello again!

I have just given your scenario first two trials. Unfortunately each lasted for three turns max!!

I can see that the MOD in general is quite polished. It is one of few mods that give the feel of professional work. Your scenario seems awesome. I mean I can’t imagine how much effort was exerted to build this whole thing!

But again the turn lags were quite prohibitive. I set my graphics to low, and still nothing changed. I don’t know if anything else can be done. I have 2GB RAMs, and 512MB Nvidia card and have never experienced such lags with warlords or with other mods (some are quite notorious of being performance hogs).

One other thing again about Arabia. I know the whole rational of playability and so. But come on having Cairo in 1933 ruled by Seuod of KSA is quite an insult. At this time Sudan was officially part of Egypt which was ruled by king Fo’ad I.

I know it would seem silly bringing this out, as it is just a game after all. But I couldn’t help it.

With what nation did you played. Maybe mod is isn't polished - it still beta, balancing etc. is still undone. But it's very weird that you finish playing game after three turns (i knoe someone has the same problem playing with soviet union, but starting once again he doesn't have this problem again).

This mod in 1.15 is much cleaned - all critical bugs that was found was removed (they are still some hidden) - the game should run without ctd. I played several times this mod and never encounter ctd after starting game (hovever sometimes crash during intro movie). Turn autosave option and tell us what did you do and how the bug appears. You can send us save - maybe it would be easier for us to catch the bug.

About lags - in the begining it lags (not at all pc but personally i have quite strong pc, but i have also problem with long ai turns) but with each turn the game runs more smoothly and quicker. The number of units and countries causes this lag.

Perhaps we would be able to make it faster with the next update - Speed Mod by Kael seems as needed rescue (it cuts the ai turn time by 60%).

Thanks a lot for answering.

Sorry it seemed that I was talking about some bug. It is the long lag time between turns that forced me to quit after three turns or so. It is however specific to this scenario as it is huge with quite a monstrous number of units to move especially in first few turns. I actually felt it is impractical to go on that is all. Sadly for me as it is really an interesting scenario.

I did figured out that after some turns things would get better, but I didn’t have the time to wait may be I will be back when I have longer free time, it does worth it.

I tried another scenario for the MOD and I was able to live with the lag.

Hello JungleIII

Do you still maintain this scenario? I hope so as it is quite a good one. Anyway, you may revise culture levels assigned to cities. I was playing Germany and I got this great artist, I put him in Frankfort and voila, Paris became 28% french, with a large territory all around it becoming mine. (Magenu Line in particular is mine now).

Thanks for your advice on my scenario. I will consider which capital cities have intensive culture and see about adjusting their culture. ;)
As for continuing with keeping up with updates - I will do so, if asioasioasio is able to work out the mod transition to the latest patch update, prior to migrating the whole mod over to BtS, which I expect will be a major task.

One suggestion I have for this cultural expanding border issue. I think giving capitals more culture initially would miss up the map or you will need to do a lot of work balancing cities culture against each other.
One solution is to modify the great artist unit (int the mod), and remove the great art work mission, so such expliot won't be available in the first place.

Also people working on the mod may think of adjusting culture expansion of borders to suit the mod historical setting. I guess the mod is not about cultural wins and civs borders are not defined by culture they produce. This will need to be dealt with also when cities are captured as it misses up the borders severely.
