I wanted to switch Republic and fuedalism in the tech tree. I found the edit and removed and added but when I open a new game using the Mod the spots where the tech should be are blank and the icon for rep and Fued are in the upper left corner of the page.

Also my mod doesnt seem to have a time frame, no year appeared at the beginning. What did I miss ?:(

The reason your techs are in the top corner is that you haven't specified he coordinates for them to appear on the screen. Open an unmodded file and copy the coordinates from the original techs and type those into the X and Y boxed in the editor of your mod. Also, its probably easier to just rename the techs yo want to switch and switch their TECH_ entries than to add and delete them.

new issue. Monarchy, Republic and Fuedalism are available at beginning of the game

ps monarchy got moved somehow? i dont remember editing it but it is not on tech tree.

I presume you mean technologies but if you mean the governments read the spoiler:

Spoiler :
Stopping governments from being available at the start of your game can be solved by going into the government tab of the rules section and changing the prerequisite (top left corner). If that's not the case look in the civilizations tab and make sure the free techs (top right) don't include the prerequisites for these technologies. I'm not sure if there are any other ways it could be solved but hopefully that should fix your problem.

But if it is technologies you need to check the techs available to the civ at the start. Then look at the techs themselves and make sure they have prerequesites and make sure they have the correct era. I don't know if that solves your problem or not. Hopefully it will.

And the problem you've had with your time frame can be resolved in the bottom section in scenario properties hopefully you should be able to sort things out there.

got govt issue fixed, didnt realize that govt type and tech were separate. and the time issue is just checking 'time limit' option ?

That would mean you would be able to change the length of your scenario by changing the amount of turns. To change the start year alter the start date section next to it. You can change the amount of time in years, months or weeks that goes by each turn by altering the base unit of time box and changing the rate at which they go by each turn on the time scale section.

Restarted the game after checking time limit option but still dont have a year listed, what did I miss?

Update, my mod is also listed under Conquest tab on start screen. When i play the game from there, rather than Civ-Content, the time frame works game starts at 4000BC. Why would it work under one and not the other? I also downloaded the Roman Empire mod and it shows under Civ Content, but wont load file not found error, how do I get it to show under Conquests?

I've got my Mod game to work, loading from Civ-Content too. Still trying to find out what wrong with RFRE Roman Mod though.

Well it took most the weekend but I finally figured out the downloading of the patches and getting them to the correct folder.
