Hi all, I have 3 save files that I can upload from different times of the game. As you can see from the screenshots, despite having a destroyer within sight range of St. Petersburg (NW corner of main continent), I can't get sight on it. I also cannot attack it with my destroyer, despite being right beside the city.

Another thing to note, my units disappear into the terrain and vanish, and can't be selected by clicking on the tile, but can be selected by completing actions with your units, until it's that unit's turn to act, or clicking the arrows along the bottom. This can be tested with the Mobile SAM missile launcher that is stationed in Samarqand 5 hexes due West of Florence.

2 hexes SE of Kamphaeng Phet (center of map, just south of lake) is a Twilight Zone hex.
4 hexes west of Kamphaengphet is Florence, there is also another Twilight Zone 2 hexes SE of it as well, near Kazan.

In the screenshot I took of the Twilight Zone, you can see that my Mobile SAM unit is selected, and you can see the yellow halo that's normally around a selected unit. You will also notice that you can't see the unit, and the hex is dark - like I don't have sight on it.

I've added 2 screenshots, plus the save file for anyone wanting to test this. I'd appreciate any feedback on this issue, what might be causing it, how to fix it, and if it is in fact, a confirmed bug.

I didn't see this bug in the list of confirmed bug reports so I thought I'd add it.

I am running the game using:

DirectX 11
Windows 7 Ultimate 6.1 (Build 7600) (fully updated)
Intel Quad Core i4-920 processor
BFG G-Force GTX 295 graphics card (fully updated drivers)
Asus P6T V2 Deluxe motherboard
6 GB Corsair Dominator RAM
Corsair 1000HX - 1000 watt power supply

I losaded your savegame and couldn't attack St.Petersburg either the very first turn. but when I moved away and came back with the destroyer next turn I had no problem at all. Somehow the bits and bytes got messed up. if it is due to the game or your computer I can't say.

Did you get sight on St.Petersburg ? I couldn't get sight on it with a land unit, or my destroyer.
What about the Twilight Zone squares ?

I used to have the exact same problem as the original poster, namely no line of sight and units disappearing in the no-line of sight hexes. If I remember correctly this problem started appearing sometime around the industrial age. Unfortunately the savegame file is already in digital hell so no attachment. But this is definitely not an isolated problem.

I loaded your savegame again, and found out, that the weird tiles are all in the fog of war - for a reason I don't know.
If you change to strategic view and select fog of war then you will see the black tiles.
I could attack St.Petersburg in the first turn. Had to move your unit from your nearby city -Novgorod - onto the hill tile with the trading post at the sea. and the fog of war disappeared.
It is weird that neiter your destroyer at St.Petersburg nor the worker on the other spot can unveil the fog of war, and if you move your novgorodian unit away from the trading post tile the fog of war will hide St.Petersburg again.

Somehow the fog of war is corrupted in your savegame.
The tile south of a hill south the lake in the middle seems to be permanent fog of war, at least I could not unveil it by either standing on the hill or left or right of that tile.

I have the exact problem. Tiles turn into Bermuda triangles.
