Been there, done that :) I also turned the Quick Moves on but sometimes, especially when right-clicking on an adjacent tile, the unit moves like it wades in jelly. It's really rather funny looking but a little annoying after a time :)

Concerning the different terrains, I agree. BUT- the resources are a lot harder to distinguish than in civ3, the gravest exapmples: bananas, corn + silk, inscense, silver + stone + iron. Had a silk for ages right next to my capital but didn't see it and the workers were too dumb to connect it. Annoying, that was.
