2 Ships of the Line

I've been playing on and since the chrismas it came out. These are the first two I've even seen.

I have just gotten 2 French Ships of the Line in a row off the coast of Curacao. That makes my feel 5 ships of the Line.
Unfortunately one of them was sunk after i lost a duel with Marquis Montabal Now i only have 4 SOTL.

WOW 5. You must of really pissed them off, and in the right era. I don't think I have ever captured a legit SOTL. I tend to play one of the earlier eras. Though I have cheated(My trainer) to get them just to see what they were like.

What is the point of having more than 1? You can only use one at a time. Or are you just using it as a transport ship?

The only point I see in having two, is so if you main one gets damage to much and your in enemy waters you can switch ships. More than that I'd rather have treasure galleons myself for max storage.

I saw a Dutch sotl crossing between their two ports (the saint ones), and i tried to get to in time with my frigate, which would've been trouble fighting, considering i was sailing into the wind, and was somewhat damaged, but I didn't want to miss the chance. It slipped away ;_;. 10 minutes later, the barmaid tells me that another SotL coming from Curacao is carrying 1400 gold. I rode that down also with my pinnace and took that. Ahh. My first one , too.

2 SOTL's and a war canoe is what I get as soon as I can in the game. From then on, your set.

The only point I see in having two, is so if you main one gets damage to much and your in enemy waters you can switch ships.

That's the reason. It's really disapointing to work so long for one only to lose it, or accidentally sell it in port.

I just finished the game in the easiest difficulty and now setting on 2nd adventure on harder level. I acquired 100% of the fame points and did everything BUT saw and/or capture a SOTL! I want one!!!

In my game (it was the 3rd difficulty level up - before Rogue. I think Adventurer) I only saw one SotL - a French raider. Needless to say, I picked that bad boy up. That's the only one I saw, though.

Pirates is an easy enough game you can always play on the hardest or second hardest level, and after on run through your set.
