Year of the Mid Major again?

After George Mason ( final 4 ) and Wichita st ( sweet 16 ) last year, can a mid major crash the party?

Winstop-Big south
Hofstra--Colonial
George Mason--Colonial
loyola-chicago--Horizon
Southern illinios--Missouri valley
Creighton--Missouri valley
Missouri St--Missouri valley
Wichita St--Missouri valley
Nevada--western Athletic

All made March Maddness but Hofstrea & Missouri St--NIT. Got all of most of their players back. Add that many of the "traditional " powers like North Carolina, Duke, Uconn, Illinios and Texas among others will be VERY young, could lead to many upsets in the Maddness.

Bring it. I don't like this double dipping you're attempting Fetus. Make the call!
UCLA or Cal? You shouldn't be allowed both and cherry pick one's football team and the others basketball team. Bruin or Bear?

Bruin or Bear, aren't they the same thing? No wonder he's confused. :D

Wasn't Brezzly Bruin a polor bear? Wait i'm showing my age if I can remember that cartoon

Bobby Knight Oh and btw he just kicked their top scorer off the team.

Kicked off for grades but it is being "hinted" that he and Knight didn't see eye to eye and Knight was 'looking" for a reason.

:p

Tell that to Pawpaw and his split football and basketball alliances.

Besides, I'm clearly a fan of the University of California... all 10 campuses :ack:

I'm so glad UT is good enough to have a respectable basketball and football team so that I don't have to flip flop my team loyalties :mischief:

military brat--picked up differant teams at differant times of my life

What, not enough balls to root for Army, Navy, or Airforce?

Not that I do or anything, just asking ;)

OMG shortguy--did the cav's just beat Arizona?

Paulus playing for Duke--thought he was to miss 1/2 the year because of his foot?

Sweet!!!!!!

What a game. I thought we were gone when we were down 16-17 in the first half.

Singletary was, as usual, awesome. Reynolds was a disappointment--he only scored 10--but Diane, who had a lot of points and seemed much more comfortable last year, picked up the slack. Cain also had a really nice game, finishing with a double double.

The new arena opening was really nice, pyrotechnics of all sorts, CavMan coming down from the roof on a cord, and Michael Buffer to introduce the starting lineup. Crowd was loud most of the 2nd half.

Shame that I have a 5 page paper to write now...

A little broke foot can't keep him down :crazyeye: . Gracious on Va  --
I watched a little and they were down about 10 I think. Great win.

I missed the game Shortguy. Nice win.
It looks like Arizona needs to learn how to play defense without fouling! 38 FT's by Va.!!!

How did Buddinger and Wise play? I'm really looking forward to watching them develop.

We were down 19 at our worst.

Buddinger was lights out in the first half; he had 15. He only had 2 in the second half, though. I don't remember Wise doing much, good or bad. The killer was Radenovic; he has great touch for a big guy, and he really sinks the free throws.

We actually got the worst of the fouls in the first half, but they called a lot of fouls in the 2nd--against both teams, but more against Arizona. I can't think of any particularly ridiculous calls on Arizona, but that may be the home team bias showing. ;) Either way, I certainly did my share of giving the refs hell.

Kansas has some 'splainin to do. They lost two years ago to Bucknell, then to another midmajor, and now to Oral Roberts? That name always reminds me of toothpaste.

Bucknell's a good team. They hung on to Wake Forest to overtime this year. I expect them to get to the tournament again this year.
