ALERT -- if we want to land our spaceship by 2020, we need to launch a spaceship by 2009...and, at least, in the USA, we aren't anyway near.. think it's time to rethink our priorities...beter get cracking...

Impossible! None of the production queues in American cities are even working on parts; we'd have to rush job the whole thing, while plowing into a recession!

But it only takes 11 years if you try to send 400 colonists over. Sending over 100 colonists only takes 5 years, so we'd only need to launch in 2015.

That still only leaves 8 turns. How many cities do we have?

But if you invade other civs and take over their cities, you'd get money and stuff to sell/disband to add to the spaceship component production... oh, wait.

Maybe it's already in the works...

Damn. Here in Australia we've been doing even less work than you Americans. We haven't even discovered Space Flight yet. Our new PM better have a plan for this.
