22+ civs in one game without citystates?

Ok now that we are getting more and more new civs from the comunity to play with and the original game only holds 22 places for civs it wold be useful with a mod that extends that. For players who might whant to play with the original 18 civs + all of the player made ones in one game.

So my question wold be,
is anyone working on a mod like this?
Is it even possible?
And how do you think this will change gameplay if at all?

I'm sure its possible, maybe not until we have the source though. There were mods for civ4 that allowed 50 players or more.

Yea I know about the 50 civs mod, was one of my favorits in Civ IV and hoping something similar wold come into Civ V
