Culture Ministry

I know we need to rebuild our War Machine, but in the northwest, particularly if we build "Anti-Denver", we need to push for cultural buildings: libraries, temples, anything else our current tech allows. This cultural assault will hopefully push Denver over the edge and flip it to us.

Military Instructions

Continue building Military Units and replacing sword garrisons with spears. Move Swords to the Japs' south eastern border and hold Horses east of Tokyo outside the Japanese borders. If the Japanese towns begin to trap the Horses in their cultural borders you may want to pull them back, I leave that decision to you should this occur.

Domestic Instructions

Please place our first city this TC as indicated by this poll provided its result is positive, otherwise use this poll instead.

Our next settler should be sent south towards the dyes on the coast, and if a third is produced then use this poll provided it was not required for the first city placement.

Build queues for cities under Domestic Dept. jurisdiction have been delegated to Fionn, so please follow his instructions where these are concerned.

Foreign Affairs

The poll regarding war with Japan did not reach quorum and was very close (one vote). Basically, wait for the military department's go ahead before declaring war.

See this post for information about our stance towards our neighbors.

For information if someone threatens us for our maps, see this poll.

For information if someone threatens us for money, see this poll.

For information if someone threatens us for technology, see this poll.

The civs that are considered "next to us" for purposes of these polls are Japan, India, China, and America.

This was another building/preparation chat. We now have a significant force ready for the Japanese. We relieved 2 sword garrisons with spearmen. 4 new cities were founded. Two in the north (one grabs the furs there, the other is the anti-Denver city) and two in the dep south, placed according to the long-term settlement plan. These have given us a contiguous southern border.

The new cities make the North Province active (governor will be appointed today) and put 3 cities in the theoretical next southern province. We need province borders ahead of expansion and are falling behind the growth curve again in this respect.

The English have been poking around our coast, most likely simply surveying things. They've also brought 2 horsemen near Padmativa. I'd like to see another garrison unit in this border city as soon as possible.

The Aztecs have been sending spearmen into our territory. They managed to get one over our area of control so have a free running spear in our central city-vacuum area.

The Japanese are now actively connecting their iron source.

We have completed the Heroic Epic.

Road progress goes well with all cities except 3 of the new ones connected. One of these will be connected on the next turn.

We can now trade with 3 civs and have the opportunity for up to 2 more luxuries if needed. They could help to shorten anarchy but are not needed until then due to our relatively low population.

We have learned Republic and Feudalism.

The Great Lighthouse and Hanging Gardens have been built by AI civs.
