I think your patch will help my similar XML problem which is:
XML Load Error...error passing XML file...File:xml\units/ci4BuildInfos.xml
Reason: Invalid at Top level of the document,etc,etc...
In other words - game will not load up at all...never had problem til 3.17....
I think I am in correct part of CIV4 program but not sure:
BTS>Assets>XML>Text...and I think I see the "bad" file that was pasted
wrong..dated 5/1/08 with an ext. patchtext... There is also an identical named file to your...'Objects' file but with a date
of 2/29/08... Not sure if I should be replacing the 2/29 file with yours and
what do I do about his 5/1/08 file - do I delete it or leave it be....
By the way I have a Vista laptop too.....your help would be appreciated..thx
