It certainly makes the text easier to write if both the effects are global. Ive updated the text and the changelog
 
IMO just leave it as Landwehr. KK Landwehr doesn't sound great. Both Landwehrs have different icons anyway, so it should be fine. If people are really confusing them, I'll do a name change under the Prussia mod, so that people without both mods won't see KK Landwehr.

I would just like to post disagreement with this sentiment. While I agree that KK Landwehr doesn't sound great (immediately makes me think KKK), I definitely would not want to see two Landwehrs even with different icons.
 
Also, something I just noticed when beginning a game with... England... (I still don't believe I did this... My French pride... It hurts, to be frank... hon hon hon)
The Game info text of the White tower doesn't correspond to the bonus of the UW anymore (it talks about a +2 culture bonus to castle, which has been reduced, and doesn't talk about the bonus to other buildings).

I just lost the game by giving up being unable to face Shaka. I was Pacal and believed the K'atun bonuses could compete with the Impis. It didn't at all. Shaka is now worst than ever. I should take him off from the map a soon as possible (like I use to do)

I noticed in the last 4UCs - Civ Overviews "Bonus vs Gunpowder now stays on Promotion"
I'm not sure this is a good idea. Impi is strong enough and 3UC/4UC shouldn't change anything from the VP rules IMO
 
Zulu got hit with a nerf in the last patch, and warmongers have been doing exceedingly well in the last 2 patches, ESPECIALLY Zulu. Zulu are overperforming right now on base VP too.

On paper, the UCs we have given Zulu are kinda bad. They must synergize really well maybe. We can't lower the Iziko's yields any more than we already have, except to start knocking down base yields (it only gets 2 faith and 1 culture more than an amphitheater). Maybe we have to knock Induna's XP gain down a peg...

The Impi is unaffected by the change, it makes the Fusilier stronger though. Overall it's a fairly minor buff, since it's +25% only vs other unmounted melee units which comes just around the time that a lot of your warfare options start opening up. I find industrial combat shifts to siege and naval in my games, and air comes in just 1 more era.

The 4UC project has actually done a modest bit of changes to the base UCs, for various reasons.

Finished Russia game and have some notes:
- pogost at stage 1 isn't decreasing poverty (custom house does). while at lvl3 this building is at most ok, I was struggling all the time with poverty around my empire and had no tool to fight it. And at lvl 1 getting +2:c5culture::c5gold: instead of -20% poverty is not that much of an upgrade; in general, this building is kind of meh... At the end you get +20%:c5trade:, +2:c5culture::c5gold::c5science: and +2:c5faith: (up to 4 if you have fealty and 4 more from shrine/temple - depending if you went religious and have those building, but since lvl 3 comes at architecture - you probably do). Except you jump to lvl3 at architecture and faith isn't worth that much back then.
- licorne is forcing you to use interesting and very unique strategy - shot and go; it's really good at fighting infantry and works great in combo with horse units; nice design;
 
Pogost not contributing to poverty reduction will be fixed in the next version. Thank you for catching that.

Also of note is that the latest patch of VP has added two new things worth mentioning:
GP bulbing scaling has been exposed to XML as something that is assigned to the tiles created (academy, manufactory, etc.) This means we have a way to make Oppida contribute to WLTKD length, which was something they couldn't do before.
G created a new table for local Great work yields bonuses. This was something we had planned to give to Zulu's Iziko. I will hold off on adding it for now, because there have been complaints that the Zulu are already too strong as is.
 
Ok. I think now when all major bugs are resolved there are only two Github issues are that do not affect gameplay too much and can be redone later, @pineappledan can you make new post for our mod? We would paste there descriptions I made (I will do last touches now to be ready for that). I will also compile new v30 downloadable version.

  • We need to make some adjustments for improvements. Remove feature logic was changed and some techs need to be put into tables. I will try to fix that. (done)
  • Found one syntax error (solved):

  • I still can see inconsistencies in base VP table "BuildFeatures". @Infixo can you look there and tell me if it is good? (Shoshone, Eki production)

Well, the only thing that still doesn't work is the Portuguese Cacadores : last time I checked, their unique promotion had no effect.

Also, the Game info description for the White tower must be reworked a bit (since some changes have been done), and there must be other minor things that I have forgotten, but it will be pointed out soon enough after the release.

Linked to this message is once again the credit table I made so that it is easier to tell who is the author of an element :
- some of the green elements (done by a volunteer) can also be associated to a unique name (ex. : the Tophet picture, by pineappledan), so you can modify things a bit if you want, but be sure to repost the credit table if you do that. For most of the green elements however, the authors are multiple.
- also, we don't have the permission of all the authors (for some of them don't answer, and some of them haven't been contacted), so we must make sure to keep the list updated.

@pineappledan, I think that preparing the new post in an inbox discussion would be better : that way, we can list the links necessary, and help you make some description (doing it alone would be a bit unfair for you I think). What do you think ?

@Hinin: @Infixo fixed Cacadores in last github update and posted few screens showing them work. Can you test v30 and tell me if it is good?

I will add your table to Github and v30.x version later.

@pineappledan should do slow revisiting of all text from game point of view not the text editor. There some "things" will be visible. I will also do some corrections later if I find something. I think this is also material for v30.x version.

If there's any way to make post editable by few users on this forum then I'm in. But inbox will be visible only by users added to conversations right?

What I mean was production value granted after removing feature f.e.:
  • chopping forest for farm, plantation, polder etc gives us 30 :c5production:, but chopping the same forest for Venice's Custom House, Shohone's Encampement or Eki gives us only 20 :c5production:,
  • chopping jungle for farm, plantation, polder etc gives us 20 :c5production:, but chopping the same forest for Shohone's Encampement or Eki gives us only 15 :c5production:,
Link that you gave me is based on "turn values" from the same table: 300 for forest. 400 for jungle, and 600 for marsh and I'm ok with that. Jungle is meant to be more difficult to cut than forest.

Also Embassy needs TECH_BRONZE_WORKING to cut jungle and MINING to cut forest and MASONRY to cut Marsh and is the only one in that matter. There are more tech issues if you look closer to that table (Jungle is divided by CALENDAR and IRON_WORKING, Marsh between IRON_WORKING and MACHINERY.

I updated that so every unique inherit those values from VP.

@Hinin, private messages don’t allow you to upload photos, so it would not be as simple as that. In order to have people collaborate, I think the easiest thing would be to start at text file on github, or make a google doc that we can work on together

Maybe two last things to point out : the historical info of the Kabuki theater is lacking (I think it is the only one missing), and there is no popup for the Riad (similar to what the Portuguese have for their UA), which means that there is no way to see the effect of the yields beside comparing the jauges between two turns.
Do you need me for anything ? :)
 
I would vote on github wiki to do this, but all civ 5 icons from this forum should be substituted somehow. What do you think about this? I'm not fond of using google in that matter.

I made part of description on Github. You can look at it and tell me if it is good. Of course icons need to be added so someone with account could host pictures for that purpose. Making thread on Civfanatics would be easier but dependable on one person. Github gives us possibility to share our work and permits editting by few users.

I've modified the descriptions txt you made yesterday

Added movement, tech and construction costs, etc. to all units. The only thing I didn't add was building costs to buildings. fixed a few errors I was able to catch. I also split the spoilers up so it is 1 spoiler per civ instead of 5 civs per spoiler. I think that will make it easier for people in the post

I think with the pictures added, what I have posted might be good enough for government work. :p

I took another look at Riad, and ended up removing the culture for population. it didn't really jibe with the rest of the building and that 15% gold on GAs will be very strong already.

Fixed the spacing on the texts. changed scythed chariot to run off of SQL instead of lua. updated the necessary text. Updated oppidum so it should scale WLTKDs now.

now I go to sleep.

Can you create thread on forum with your changes to descriptions? What is your opinione about place where we should post whole bunch of info about mod. Github? Civfanatics?

I placed civs in groups of 5 because site doesn't allow to post more than 10 pictures per post. So there are 2 possibilities: post it in few posts or group like I did,
