7/12 Release - CP (v.5) and CBP (v. 55.1)

I generally play standard maps, and keep the default civ and cs numbers.

I am also used to getting 3 seconds before planes and 6ish afterwards, now I am seeing 6 early in the game.

Look in the LUA/Inactive folder. To be clear, the TopPanel.lua file is only if you are not using CSD, otherwise you need it.

I think you lost me lol, so do I replace the .lua file when I am using CSD or when I'm not?

Also it seems for some odd reason I can't produce anything when I found my city at the start of the game. I only have the mods the 2 community mods and the 2 diplomacy mods active.

The Active/Inactive folders in the CBP's LUA folder refer to which lua files are active and, well, inactive. The one that is active when you download the mod has stuff in it for CSD. The one in the inactive folder does not have the CSD stuff, so use that if not using CSD. You just drag and drop.

If you can't produce stuff, it means you are using the wrong Cityview file. Like the TopPanel.lua, the Cityview.lua file in the Inactive folder is there for when you are not using CSD.

If you are using the CP, CBP, CSD and Civ IV DF (the four main links on the 'How to Install' page), you don't need to move any LUA files around. Just download, install, enable, and play.

Hmm ya those are the only 4 mods I have installed. Still unable to do anything once a city is founded :S I have tried redownloading the mods and reverifying civ.

Using EUI? That'll cause conflicts. You'll need to delete its cityview-related stuff. Also make sure to clear your cache and moduserdata folders in your documents/my games/civ 5/ folder.
G
Ooooooh ya that did it. Removing it entirely fixed it. Am I safe just deleting the cityview folder?
edit: seems like some other ui stuff behaves wacky with EUI on, guess I'll remove it entirely for singleplayer with this mod.

EUI isn't compatible right now, unfortunately. It is on my 'to-do' list.
G

It's a super-nice mod, so I'm glad a workaround for it is on your list :)

I guess there wasn't much point making one yet because of all the LUA changes with the last few versions, but now happiness has settled down a little hopefully we can get it soon.

Ahh, fantastic. Can you get at least a small function working so I can see what is involved? I personally want to get into understanding lua much more than I do now. If we can get all our lua changes working that way it will make everyone's day.

So many posts about which lua to disable. I can understand people's concerns, here we are presenting a 'Balance Patch' that looks like the 'bees knees' and they get issues when trying to use it. Must be frustrating for newer users that haven't had to do the lua shuffle before.

Yeah, right now the install/download threads don't really show quite how early in development this is right now. We need some huge text saying "don't use this unless you want things to break" :P

No, I don't think even that would work.
I have no fault with the descriptions or installation notes. I would go so far as to say they are leaps and bounds ahead of other mods. I make the comment simply that users that are unsure of the simple steps are still going to be unsure even when it is described to them. I am of the opinion that the only way to make sure novices can load the mod(s) is to make the whole process automated, or next to automated. Load it and go.

Since i never mentioned it, I did appreciate the introduction of alternate bonuses for losing wonder races.

I've been using GA points myself...its still no wonder but I like it better than gold!
