Clansmen are Kindred's excellent unit's different frames with some modifications, so majority of the credit belongs there.

Different. I really like it though. I'm not sure to let it be a free barracks in every city wonder, or to build armies without a leader. Other choices seem to be double strength against barbarians and increased army value. Any other ideas?
