History, politics, tensions, even here on the forum 🫤.

I guess we should stay with what we have. Gameplay wise, and the most neutral unit.
I agree.
I simply urge you all not to promote banditry in Vox Populi, that's all.

@hawat There's no such thing when it comes to unfortunate banditry promotion. Pretty please don't propose anything to Germany rework... :) Best of luck to you.

Ahh, sarcastic exaggeration mixed with shallowing the topic (oversimplification that Lisowczycy were just bandits). They were a Polish military formation on the Tatar model. Yes, I agree, there were a lot of outlaws, but not much more by 17th century standards. Read a bit about the Dymitriads or the role of the Lisowczycy in the 1609-16 Polish-Russian war (especially 1614), the battles of Humienne, Chocim, etc. It was not the banditry that made them unique. Perhaps read something about the XVII century and you will find that they were not so unique in terms of pillaging and cruelty.
I urge you also write to TV to ban the series Janosik (bandit) or Deluge (Kmicic - bandit) and many many more. You can also start a crusade against Robin Hood.
And of course best of luck to you :)

Keep it civil folks.

If you prefer an alternative to Pancerni or Cichociemni, you still have time to make your own counterproposal. There you can outline why it is your preferred representation of Polish history. In discord we can help workshop the gameplay if you fancy.

Do you find something like "Dzieje Polski Ilustrowane" good enough? Or would you rather stick to your favourite and extremely challenging to comprehend "Janosik" or "Robin Hood"?
As far as I'm concerned when troops pillage their own country and murder their own countrymen they immediately stop deserving to be glorified in any way. Period.

I hoped you would enjoy my sarcastic exaggeration when it came to Janosik ;) You have your opinion, I have mine, let's stay with it, because the discussion is going the wrong way, as others have already noticed.
I like the suggestion of staying with the unit, but finding it more unique/fun ability.

Some of my loose thoughts and ideas to find more unique/fun ability of Pancerni:
1. Historically this is a Renaissance rather than Medieval unit that coexisted with and complemented winged hussars, so historically it should replace the Cuiraissier - the downside would be 2 unique units in one era, so I understand why the author chose not to do this. On the other hand, such a change would have reflected the period of strength of the Polish military.
2. They relied on mobility and often finished off armies shattered early by winged hussars, so possible alternative promotions:
(a) Coup de Grace promotion - (+30% RCS vs Wounded Units at or below 50 HP), disappears after upgrade
b) Logistics (-20% RCS. May attack twice) disappears after upgrade
c) Ignore Zone of Control
d) I don't know if it is possible to implement - units attacking an enemy unit next to Pancerni get +20% flanking bonus

Of course, I don't want all of them at the same time. I think a combination of c + d could create a unit with interesting mechanics.
