9/11 Quiz

80% It gets easier as you go as the quiz is obviously slanted with the whole conspiracy agenda thus telegraphing the answers.

This seems like less of a quiz to me and more of a piece of political propoganda.

Well these are interesting:

Question 9 — What political leader figure allegedly made the following statement on September 28th 2001:

I have already said that I am not involved in the 11 September attacks in the United States. As a Muslim, I try my best to avoid telling a lie. I had no knowledge of these attacks, nor do I consider the killing of innocent women, children and other humans as an appreciable act. Islam strictly forbids causing harm to innocent women, children and other people. Such a practice is forbidden even in the course of a battle. It is the United States, which is perpetrating every maltreatment on women, children and common people of other faiths, particularly the followers of Islam.
A — Saddam Hussein
B — Yasser Arafat
C — Osama Bin Laden
D — Ayatollah Khomeini

Your Ans: C
Correct Ans: C
Explanation: Although never covered on CNN, Fox, or any mainstream articles, Osama appeared to be very outspoken in denying any involvement with regards to the attacks of september 11th. This quote was part of a published interview in Ummat, a Pakistani daily newspaper, on September, 28 2001. Unfortunately, a tape purporting to be from Osama was discovered in an apartment building in a remote city in which he allegedly confessed to the attacks.

Question 4 — Approximately how many steel framed towers have collapsed due to fires before and after 9/11?
A — 100
B — 10
C — 5
D — 0

Your Ans: C
Correct Ans: D
Explanation: Steel framed buildings have quite an amount of strength, particularly skyscrapers as they have to deal with elements like high winds, earth quakes, and a variety of other elements. Because of this, towers are generally built much stronger than necessary to ensure that nothing ever happens. Because of this, and the high melting point of steel, NO steel building has ever collapse due to fire before or after 9/11. The correct answer is 'D'.

Question 10 — What political leader made the following statement on September 12th 2001:

Regarding what took place on September 11, well it's very good... Well, it's not good, but it will generate immediate sympathy for Israel.
A — Bill Clinton
B — Benjamin Netanyahu
C — Kim Jong II
D — Saddam Hussein

Your Ans: D
Correct Ans: B
Explanation: The answer is 'B' — Israel's prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu. Some people taking this quiz have been critical of the question, immediately countering with the "anti-semitic" card. The purpose of this question was to challenge your beliefs and act as a contrast to question 9. In America, the media and administration would like us to believe that all muslims are fanatics and Britain/Israel are our best friends. This quote shows just how heartless our "friends" can be. They are, after all, a different country with different interests. Let us not put anyone above scrutiny.

I'd like to see a reliable source for the quotes by bin Laden and Netanyahu before I believe they have any validity.

Besides, everyone knows it was JFK who was really behind 9/11.

Besides being overall biased, this question is incredibly misleading:
In 2001, what percentage of cell phone calls made it through at airliner cruising altitudes of 25,000 feet and higher?
Actually, that is .04% of calls made... by some random dude, doing a test, on a website run by himself.

40%... I didn't really look into the details.

100% = I answered as if I were an ignorant moron who'd only watched the conspiracy shows about it.

Indeed. Give me a few days and I'm sure I could whip up a quiz which leads to the inescapable conclusion that the UK and Germany were actually in league in WWII against the Soviets.

Can anyone actually disprove/prove any of the things in the quiz? I'd like to see some evidence before jumping to conclusions.

I looked over the rest of the guy's site. He seems like just another crackpot to me.

Most of the evidence brought up by 9/11 conspiratists is easily refuted or irrelevant. Some interesting things that do leave bona fide questions to be answered, but nothing that would compell any level headed person to believe that the attacks were perpetrated by anyone other than Al-Qaieda on its own.

I remember Bin Laden denying it, its really silly to consider this evidence to think that he is not responsible. The quiz doesn't include what he said when he doesn't deny responisbility, but thats how these conspiricies work, finding evidence that "supports" thier view and ignoring everything that refutes it.

Of course this guy seems to think all the phone calls from the planes are fake so...

The truth is out there.

Not really the point. Take the cell phone question, for instance.

Question 5 — In 2001, what percentage of cell phone calls made it through at airliner cruising altitudes of 25,000 feet and higher?
A — 100%
B — 10%
C — 5%
D — 0.4%

Your Ans: D
Correct Ans: D
Explanation: A scientific analysis by researchers at physcis911.net have concluded that at cruising altitudes of a major city, the success rate of getting through a phone call is approximately 0.4% or 4 out of 1000 tries. Therefore, the correct answer is 'D'.

All three planes were not continuously at 25,000 feet. What they fail to mention here is that the success rate will climb as the height falls. At 2,000ft, it's something like 75% success rate. Do we know how high the planes were for each call? Nope, so why pick 25,000 feet? You'd think they'd be flying under the radar, huh? Beneath the clouds, navigating off of landmarks. Being ready to hit a freaking building on the ground. All that from 25,000ft? I don't think so.

All calls were not made from cell phones. I'm too lazy to go find the exact numbers at the moment, but many of those calls were from the plane phones.

The numbers that the study came up with have been called into question by major news sources AND industry experts. All this information is very easily researched, if you really want to learn about it.

Every question on that quiz is somewhat like this. They ask questions with answers designed to shift your focus where they want you to look, and away from the whole story. This is nothing more than a sales pitch for a conspiracy theory.
