9 player minigame

Don't have a clue, I just paraphrased the notification I got at midday...

So I must take is not your doing... right? The thing is I wasn't picturing jarema as scum... and with the small input from everybody this is like shooting in the dark, if there are two scum left this is LyLo... if there is only one, town has a chance... so don't know if play sitting duck and do nothing or just omgusvote jarema... both options seem really awful to me :(

Yeah, its not my doing. I have two cards left. I used Justice last turn. That's all.

If its two scum left and the moon is a daykill, then this isn't lylo. Its gg, unless your scum.

The moon kills you. Lets say we lynch scum. That leaves three players, two of whome are town. Unless a doctor gets lucky (which isn't out of the question, I suppose), mafia win.

I'm really taking shots in the dark at this point, I can't get a good read on anyone. I'm about 50/50 between Jarrema and spaceman right now.

Eh.

Vote: spaceman98

Ok, allow me to elaborate on what I said earlier. Lets assume reidquat dies today, and we lynch a scumbag. We still lose if there's two alive.

I have a night action that can fix this, by creating a possiblity that scum kill will end up backfiring on the killer, hence my comment: "(which isn't out of the question, I suppose)".

I'm not sure if my role is the only one that can save the town in a 1 v. 2. night scenario (I sure hope not) but lynching me will make even that impossible.

I understand why people aren't confident about Jarrema. I'm not either, but he's contributed very little in this game so far.

If I do die, keep an eye on King Morgan. He's done nothing but push my lynch, with little basis for doing so.

Incidently, if its 3 vs. 2 and we hit a townie today, and reidquat dies and is town, then its gg even with my ability. I'll take one of them with me (possibly, depending on whether Visor plays out the night) and then die.

If Reidquat is scum, then if we lynch correctly we win, and if we mislynch its at best 3 v. 0 (win) or alternatively 2 vs. 1 (we're back in the scenario where night decides everything)

If reidquat is town and doesn't die, then we have more breathing room. If he's scum and doesn't die, its gg unless we hit the lynch correctly

Fair enough.

Unvote, Vote: Jarrema

Vote: Riedquat

Since I know I'm not Scum then it is either Spaceman98 or Riedquat. Seeing as I've been voting for Spaceman alot I would have thought that i'd have been killed last night if he was the scummer.

If it were both of us, the game would have ended already.

Looks like the scum outguessed me. I played the lovers: It binds two people together, meaning a night action on one would also impact the other. My hope being to bind the scum to their intended kill target, so that the scum would have killed themselves when trying to carry out their nightkill.

There's three people alive, two of whome are bound. I won't say who.

Visor, question: If the game reaches a point where the number of mafia equals the number of townie, BUT the mafia cannot kill the last townie without killing themselves, does the game end in a draw, or a mafia win?

If it were both of us, the game would have ended already.

Have played a couple of games where the host prolonged the torture of the last lonely townie just because and it really sucks to be that townie!

I played the priestess...

Honestly I have some doubts about your claim, I understand the caution but why the need to claim at all... is like saying "hey scum if you attack me I will take you down with me" to everybody when in fact you won't attack yourself... but of course I also see the advantage of your doing... grr... doubts!

KM, weren't you supposed to get some info from the deceased? Am I missing a phase or...? Just curious, don't know how it will serve us knowing if Sprig or anybody else was scum or town at this stage.

As soon as mafia equal the town numbers the game is over mafia win.

Well *bleep*.

Ok.

I'm not sure what to make of you two honestly. Neither has been that productive, but hey, neither have I.

Reidquat is behaving like Townquat as far as I can tell: i.e. confused and indecisive, and afraid of nonexistant mechanics (the only time when a townie who can't win is left to play is if there are still multiple factions left who can win). Of course, he might be faking it, but he hasn't even cast a "save himself" vote, which is a point in his favor, I suppose.

Yesterday, I said King Morgan was my prime suspect. The problem is, I'm almost always suspicious of King Morgan, regardless of his allignment (and regardless of mine :p). He cast the first vote today, on Reid rather than me. He's assuming I'm town because he wasn't killed last night. Fair enough, I suppose, but Chox had also voted for me a lot, and only unvoted because of my ability claim. This means Chox would have been watching for evidence of my ability in the writeup, meaning scum-me would have had to elliminate chox if scum-me was lying. Of course, scum not-me targeting Chox also makes sense, as he had never been under suspicion, while I, KM and Reid all had been prime suspects at some point. (gah. I feel stupid, I should have forseen this tonight :hammer2: )

My guess is that The Moon was a message dilivery card, nothing more. We see in some mafia games powers that allow people to leave messages in the writeup. If The Moon allows an anonymous PM (makes sense given that non-anonymous PMs in this game are forbidden), it could be that it was used to send Reidquat a message along the lines of "you will die today" with no basis behind the message.

Of course, as far as anonymous PMing powers go, that's one of the most anti-town uses of one, since it utterly confused that phase, by making people think it was lylo when we still had one phase left. Choosing Paranoidquat as the victim maximized the effect. I don't think a townie would do that. Of course, this argument falls appart if the Moon isn't an anonymous PM generator, but I honestly don't see what else it can be at this point.

O Fortuna, velut luna, statu variabilis.

It could be that reidquat faked that. In which case, :hatsoff: to the mafia mastermind. However, that's unlikely, as whoever used the moon would have come forward to deny the claim. That they didn't indicates that the Moon User was likely scum, and likely had bad intentions they were unwilling to reveal.

This means that Reidquat is likely town. I'm town, so that leaves

What did the Priestess do?

KM did you play The World?

What I'm bemused by is this: In a KM-is-scum world, why wasn't I killed tonight? After all, I said he was my prime suspect... Did he think I would use The Lovers on myself?

Riedquat is scum. I know your not because your voting for me, if you were scum then you'd have voted Ried and game over.

Since the game is over unless you change your vote, I played the Moon v's Riedquat, haunting him, making him fear death. I forgot about the 1 card per phase rule as I also played The World, that will play tonight. My last card was swapped by the GM and is also The World, pretty scummy huh, keeping all my cards till the end!!

I don't really know how to convince you that i'm town, but Riedquat has admitted to playing Death and also a Blocker, sounds about right for 2nd Scumbag, no doubt his partner had the kill and he had the cards (until the kill passed to him on his buddies death).

Anyhow, ball in your court etc. I will be saying "I told you so" after the final reveal. ;)
