So,... you merged B5 2.0 with 2.1? :confused:

Yes, it corrects a small problem/oversight on my part. In the XML ArtDefines folder there are some files that have been saved there instead of to their correct folders. To correct the problem compare the files last update date with the file that is in the correct location. If the file in the correct location is more recent than the one in the ArtDefines folder, delete the one in the ArtDefines. If the one in ArtDefines is more recent then move it to the correct folder. I'll try and get the corrected files uploaded as a patch at some point today.

Here is a patch to correct most of the errors the only thing that still needs to be done is to ensure that the following files are removed/deleted from the ArtDefines folder. CivilizationInfos, EraInfos, TechInfos, UnitClassInfos and UnitInfos.

I suggest to post a new version - hopefully totally bug free

That's what i've decided to do, my last play test runs fine except for the fact no-one can build the O.D.S. unit and for some of the strategies i've tried, having the O.D.S. is a must. I've tempered this in the short term by removing the ability of the Raiders to capture star systems, not very realistic is it? Will post again as things develop.

Things have progressed nicely. Apart from the fact the AI still doesn't build the O.D.S. to defend against Pirates, the playtesting i have done makes for a more interesting game. I could post some spoilers here but i'm not going to. I hope to have a 'better than the last version' version ready for release at the weekend, unless of course Premier adds some new ship units or something else happens.

Just want to say, huge fan of B5, almost got to meet Strazynski at the 2009 Fan Expo in Toronto, would've killed for him to autograph some B5 season dvds for me, and am a huge fan of Final Frontier. Looking forward to trying this mod out :D

Edit: Tried to start a custom game, crashed XD

@Arigas
I suggest you to wait a couple hours or a few days for the next version
The latest (2.1) has a few irritating bugs

@PsiCorps
I think you should change the path of the theme file in the official version from Final Frontier Plus to Final Frontier.
Will spare many players from a lot of headache...

Just to make sure I did this right, it goes into the BTS folder, under Mods, and then is loaded using the Load a Mod page in BtS, shown as Babylon 5 v2.1. Do I need to select certain options to make sure it loads right?

Yeah, the mod is in the right place

If you have troubles on startup (when the mod is loading):
Go to the end of the Mods\Babylon 5 V2.1\Assets\XML\Art\CIV4ArtDefines_Misc.xml file
and change this line: <Path>Mods/Final Frontier Plus/Resource/Civ4.thm</Path> to <Path>Mods/Final Frontier/Resource/Civ4.thm</Path>

Maybe you should also copy over the patch above (on your Mods/Babylon 5 v2.1 folder), but I never tried that one so not sure if it fixes the recent bugs or not...

Its only when trying to make a new game. First time it loaded though, got a tear in my eye from hearing that intro to season...5 I think its from?

Edit: Got it working. Had the wrong type of map selected. Needed to change it to FinalFrontierFlat, then it worked fine.

That's one of the things i aim to do.:D

Thanks for the support. I was fortunate enough to meet the majority of the cast at Starfury (in 2000 i think). Never met, or had the chance to meet, Mr (sir) Straczynski though it would have been great to have done so.

Just to update everyone, i've been doing a lot of tidying and cleaning up on the mod, been finding lots of minor glitches that whilst they don't cause crashes could still spoil the experience for you, and hope to have the newer, far more stable version uploaded over the weekend. :D

Awesome!
I will definitely run a few games just to test the improvements ;)

The games i've play tested so far have all gone beyond 350 turns with no crashes at all. Watch out for the AI, they seem to make a beeline for Battleship class units and then declare war on you. The O.D.S. unit is really only for defence against Raiders (barbs) so you really need to have some Ships and Fighters as quickly as possible.....but i'm spoiling things for you now so i'll shut up.
