There is, of course, no serious risk that such people will be able to impose sharia on any Western country within the foreseeable future. But already the fact there are groups wanting to do it that might be willing to use extrademocratic means to achieve it should be a cause for some concern.

But they will have to change your constitution to tilt the democracy, will they not? It's quite hard to change the dutch constitution, isn't it?

Yes. You need a 2/3 majority in parlement 2 times within 8 years to do it. So that's quite hard for a small minority.

I'm not afraid that our democracy will be discarded soon. I'm worried about the fact that 33% of Dutch muslims don't accept our Western Liberal Democracy as their system of chooice. But rather have a system that discriminates against woman, and all non-muslims (infidels) and wants to cut of hand of thieves. And is thus in my eyes and the eyes of most Westerners barbaric.

That says something about their integration in Dutch (western) society. And their mindset. And it isn't really a positive signal for the future.

What kind of concern? Which measures are we talking about?

Ok, it is a bit worrying but still they will never be able to make it reality without convincing a majority of the dutch and I can't see that happening. I think few actions against muslims as a group can be justified by their thinking and talking. They may have ideas that are incompatible with democracy, so what? Nothing will happen unless they're staging a coup, which would fail miserably even if they tried.
