Okay, if there really is uranium in Sweden, then it's okay. :D But aside from that, there should at least be coal in there too (it had great importance to Hitler in WW2). The oil in Finland could be relocated to Norway or Russia - as both of them have it and Finland doesn't, it would be more realistic there even if it was in a non-realistic spot. Romania could use an additional oil source too, so maybe one could be relocated there.

I wouldn't want to sound all *****ing and moaning as it is a great map! So I'll just stop here... :p

Swedish coal during WWII? Very sure you're not thinking of iron ore?

The export of iron ore to Nazi Germany during the war has been a sensitive political issue ever since, but Sweden does not even have any domestic coal production today, and while I cannot guarantee there wasn't some during the 40s it in any case must have been minimal compared to the German.

Riight... Well well, might as well be represented by coal. :D

Sorry but once again, I'll answer to everyone of you in the same post :

To El Mencey : Well, thanx El Mencey for your congratulations ! From you, it's even better since you're also a map maker !

To Yoda : Okay Yoda, there's no rush. :) Happy Conquest game ! Actually, I didn't know there was a new expansion pack before I put on line this map...

To Loulong : Well, yes I'm french, but sssshhhhh ! Don't tell it to anyone else ! I don't want to be boycotted ! (This is just a joke ! please don't answer me on that !)

To The Last Conformist : Lol ! Well, I'm actually really french, the e-mail is my boyfriend's address.

To The Last Conformist and Exel : Okay... so what should I add coal or iron in the map ? Once you'll be agree, I'll proceed to the change.

Oh and by the way Exel, you don't sound at all all *****ing and moaning ! This map pretends to represent Europe, it's never enough accurate ;). I think by the way it's a good idea to re-allocate the oil from Finland into Romania. It will be done. :)

There definitely should be Iron in Sweden; I'd rather suggest adding one more since Sweden's been an important exporter in various periods.

I'd say no Coal.

Being French is OK, as long as it happens to other people! :)

I'm currently an exchange student in Germany, and there's no end to what silly countries people guess me to hail from: every EU country bar Portugal and Luxembourg has been suggested, as well as Norway, Czechia and Russia. One girl even insisted I had told her I was from England, during a party I didn't even go to, no less ...

Ok then I'll add an Iron in Sweden. Do you think I should put it near Sweden (where there's already 1) or in the South near Malmö (where there are hills but no iron) ?

I just remind to any reader of these lines that I'm looking for volunteers to find some great leaders for the new civilizations :D . I have no time to read deep History of 13 countries on my own. Just contributing on one civ would help. I'm sure some of you are coming from one of these 13 countries ! The firsts to propose me some names will be gifted of...

.... all my respect :worship: !! (Sorry ! I can offer more... maybe a kiss ? :love2:  )

I could possibly help with Finnish leaders, at least a bit. I'm rather tired now, so can't come up with many atm, but here are two for starters:

Carl Gustav Emil (or C.G.E.) Mannerheim
Jaakko Ilkka

:D

Yep. Happened to be true here but I should be more cautious, especially since I am still registered under my Hong Kong address :p

Some leaders :

Ireland :
O'Neil (the O'Neils of Ulster)
O'Connell

Serbia :
Etienne Nemania (1151-1196) founder of the Great Serbia
Saint Sava (his brother and founder of the national Serbian church)
Etienne Douchan (1131 after Kustendil - 1655)

Hungary :
Arpad
(or his son Geysa) at the origin of Hungary
Jean Hunyade
(and his son) Mathias Corvin

of course some people of these countries might correct me.
Besides for Serbia and Hungary these were usually the leaders of these countries.

Marla_Singer: Realistically, it should go close to the other Iron resource.

LouLong: You're using Frenchified forms of those names; to anglophones, more familiar spellings might be "Stefan Nemania", "Stefan Dusan"/"Stefan Dushan" and "John Hunyadi"/"Janos Hunyadi".

No doubt, there's a plentitude of further spellings and variants also in use ...

A few candidates for Moroccan GLs:

Mawlay Idriss
Yusuf ibn Tashufin
Muhammad ibn Tumart
Abd al-Mumin

Loulong, Exel and The Last Conformist, you have all my respect :worship:.
:thanx:

I think 4 great leaders are already enough for each civ...

Morocco : Mawlay Idriss, ibn Tashufin, ibn Tumart, Abd al-Mumin (Complete)
Hungary : Arpad, Hunyadi, Mathias Corvin, Geysa (Complete)
Serbia : Stefan Nemania, Saint Sava, Stefan Dushan (1 missing)
Finland : Mannerheim, Jaakko Ilkka (2 missing)
Ireland : O'Neil, O'Connell (2 missing)

That's already great :).

Personally, I would propose for Austria : Eugène de Savoie, Friedrich V.

Eugène de Savoie was french, however, he worked for Maria Theresa and got rid of the turks for Austria. Moreover, Maria Theresa offered to him a wonderful castle in Vienna : The belvedere. That's why I think we can still add him.

By the way, I've heard there were new civilizations in Conquests. Are some of them european ? If it's the case, we could switch them. I haven't got C3C for now. :(

Well anyway, I'm close to the end of my first game in the map. I was France and I've invaded Austria. The thing is that we're only in 1350 AD and I'm already discovering Motorized Transportation. Maybe I should raise a bit the Tech Rate.

Argh ! I want to get conquests now !! Is it possible to make real scenarios with it ? :crazyeye:

Yep, you are right, sometimes I am just not sure whether I should adapt names or not... :crazyeye:

Are you a history student ?

@ Marla : you are welcome. I will give you two other Irish leaders tomorrow.

There are Asutria, Portugal and the Netherlands in Conquest. Oh and yes you can now make real scenarios:D

btw I will hopefully send you the map tomorrow:)

Marla what made you choose 116x94 instead of just the randon(100.100) size?
