A newb multiplayer question

Me and my friends just started trying FFH2 multi-player, I have been playing this great mod for years but never multi-player. When we start the game we usually want to ad a few extra AI civilizations but in some of our games, even though we want to have 9 enemies, only 2-3 AIs appear along with me and my friend. Any idea why this is?

Hmm. Have you explored the whole map? You won't see any AI till you find them (but can see other players scores straight away).

Also double check your marking the slots in the lobby as 'Computer' (iirc) rather than 'Open'.

And make sure the AI aren't getting killed off by Barbs or something silly like that. I can't remember if the little civilization death box pops up in Multi, but I'm pretty sure it still does.
