A Persian Tale!!!

Hello. Since this thread seems to be flooded with SGs compared to Apolyton, I thought a story here might look nice :)

PARAMETERS: This game will be played as Persians on a normal world (Standard size, standard climate, barbarians restless, random opponents, Regent level). I am playing with version 1.16 (not the newest patch) and also with a mod of my own design :cool:. The details are complicated, but Musketeers (NOT Musketmen), Riflemen, Infantry, and Mech Infantry receive an "Offense" checkbox so that they will attack from time to time, better simulating trench warfare (this ought to make the French musketeers slightly more useful in the hands of the AI!). Banks and Cathedrals now slightly lower corruption. The naval part of the game is completely revamped: basically, Privateers (415) now appear at the same time as Caravels, and literally rule the seas, both outrunning and outgunning caravels (223). However frigates (346) help defend the caravels, and the "Age of Sail" now ends with the arrival of Ironclads (667). From then on the changed stats are in the same proportions, except that speed is greatly increased up to Battleships (move of 9). The only things faster than a Battleship are the now HUGELY good Subs (12!2-10) and Nuclear Subs, the fastest on the seas (16!2-13). Hopefully this ought to make naval battles faster and more furious with Privateers and Submarines playing a larger role. (Oh, and pollution now takes workers as long as Railroads, not twice as long! :rolleyes: 24 turns is ridiculous!)

Anyway... If I get the time I may post the first installment of the Reign of Xerxes :king: tomorrow. Does anyone know how to post images, maps etc??
