A question for the ages

What is the best material for a drink from a fast food restaurant at the drive-thru?

What fast food restaurant's drive-through serves drinks in glasses?

Wax paper is the best

No Polyestyrene foam!

Or else, you're old enough to learn how to cook now, VRWC.

Assuming the VRWC doesn't keep you so busy that you can't cook in between missions.

I have never ordered a drink (nor food) "from a fast food restaurant at a drive-thru". Perhaps I have lead too sheltered a life?

yes you have.

I have done it many times, but no more. I don't eat fast food, and there is no poll option for me. I have quit drinking soda. I'm of the belief carbonation is disgusting. :D Actually, I did drink a couple ounces of soda last week, but that was just for a caffeine fix, the soda itself was disgusting. Once you've been away from it for a while, you realize it wasn't all that great to begin with.

Well, you do live in England instead of the colonies.

I don't know. I'm Canadian so I suppose we should put it in a bag.

As for the OP, I always end up with plastic. Never knew I had the option to choose other kinds of cups, though.

This backs up my hypothesis that a huge proportion of people are hypothyroid in the modern age.
So nobody ever had hypothyroidism before the Industrial Revolution?

So it's a neat little vicious circle, then... the makers of the drug that keeps me alive (I have hypothyroidism) use all kinds of modern tools and substances to make the stuff, market it, ship it to the pharmacies, where it's repackaged in more modern-type plastic bottles (coated so UV rays don't fry the pills) and then I ingest it.

Of course I have no idea why I am afflicted with this condition in the first place. I'm told that others on my mother's side of the family have/had thyroid problems, but that was hyper, not hypo.

I don't suppose you remember "Sip Sacs"? That was a non-carbonated, sweetened fruit drink in little transparent plastic bags, and part of the fun was stabbing the straw in at exactly the right location so you didn't end up with the juice all over yourself and the floor.

My junior high music class held several "Doughtnut & Sip Sac Sales" to pay for our field trip we took to Calgary in my Grade 7 year. As I recall, the cherry-flavored ones were the best.

Glass. The drink tastes much better.
Agreed. The stuff they call A&W Root Beer nowadays tastes nothing like the wonderful treat that was sold in glass jugs - and only at the restaurants. You didn't gulp that stuff down - you savored every mouthful!

Now... well, my local Co-op had it on sale for $1/2-L bottle, and I passed on it. If I'm going to drink pop that's been in a plastic bottle, it's better to drink the kind that I can't remember ever having tasted any different.

It may not be good real Mexican food, but whatever you want to call it, I love their "mexican" pizza!

I used to know this Mexican guy who claimed that Taco Bell was the bane of his existence. If you want good Mexican food, that ain't it.

Oh I knew it wouldn't be like an awesome authentic Mexican meal . But I'm a believer that junk food has a time and a place , and I can definitely imagine it would be nice to smash a few greasy tacos and burritos in my car , ripped at 2am
