The more you go, the more you take classes that interest you, the more will stick. But don't miss the forest for looking at the trees. Much of what you will get out of college comes from the total experience and from being a student for several solid years.

I tend to find the big ideas and themes stick in my mind relatively well but the small and numerous specific facts they toss out there tend to go in and out pretty quick.
