I don't know if this idea has been mentioned before, I haven't seen it. Anyway, even after patch 1.52 I still have some graphics problems on big maps. After loading up a save game they're especially bad on the first turn, but seem to clear up a bit after that. But there's still choppy looking stuff, like messed up rivers or whatever else. I noticed that if I zoom all the way out, to the globe view, and rotate the globe around once, then zoom back in, all the graphics are cleared up. Not sure if this would work for everybody, but it worked for me, and was real nice toward the end of a game on the huge earth map.

That's interesting...But what problems I had were all solved by graphics drivers. :)

Hi, 2 things:

- killing the ATI tray tool (atiptaxx.exe) helped on my home computer with 1.09
- black or garbled textures were fixed by a quick alt-tabbing on a computer with a low end graphics board (might do the same as zoom-out/zoom-in)

Regards.

I still have graphis problems. I adjusted my pci latency in my mother board settings. I changed the latency from 60(I think) to 128. This has helped a lot. I still get a crash to desktop if I look at territory outside my own... This hurts for stragetic planning....

is it just me or nthe last catalyst was crap ? Since I installed it I had the worst problems gfx wise and had to resort to omega mods...
