Week 28, 1943
A string of victories are reported this week to the Soviet citizenry across the globe.
Plymouth is taken from the British after moderate fighting. The crushing weight of air and armor is something the British have no answer for now.
6 Japanese infantry killed and Hainan falls to 35th Tank Corps 6th Tank Army. Japan lies on the verge of capitulation.
8 Japanese infantry killed at Kochi, but the city holds out. Reinforcements are brought in.
In Africa, the Portugese continue their pointless resistance. Six Portugese infantry are killed as Nampula falls.
In the sub-Sahara at Kano, 1 sturmovik is lost. 3 British Matildas, an infantry and 2 artillery killed. Kano taken by 10th Motorzed Corps, 2nd Shock Army.
In the Dutch Indes, Makassar is bombed and 87th Rifle Corps takes the city.
In separate naval battles, 2 US battleships and a convoy are sunk in the channel, at the loss of 2 sturmoviks. Another Lion battleship off Gibraltar losing 1 sturmovik

A colonial empire is defeated as Surabaya is taken and
the Dutch surrender.
Another foreign power capitulates as 10 infantry are destroyed as the Japanese army in the true spirit of the samurai fights to the last man. 41st Tank Corps takes Kochi.
Japan surrenders.
Week 30, 1943
Soviet troops land in the Phillipine Islands outside Manilla.
At Cardiff, 3 fighters and 2 bombers destroyed. 4 Matildas and a 2 infantry killed. Cardiff falls.
Week 31, 1943
Soviet airpower clears away the last vestiges of resistance at Saipan as Soviet marines move in. Saipan falls
On English soil, 5 Matilda tank units and an infantry killed. 12th Guards Tank Corps takes Birmingham.
The advance continues as Leicester falls next. The capital of Great Britain is now Capetown, South Africa.
6 infantry killed and Manilla, capital of the Phillipines falls to Zhukov's 5th Tank Army.
Lagos in Africa falls.
Also on the Afican continent, 2 Belgian infantry killed at Leopoldville. Another colonial power vanishes as
Belgium surrenders.
There are currently 19 cities in the USSR and its possessions currently yielding 100 or more shields per turn.
Week 32, 1943
5 Portugese infantry and 2 artillery killed as Beira falls to 31st Tank Corps
603rd Penal Squadron (I-16) loses to a British spitfire.
604th Penal Squadron loses 2 fighters to Spitfires and 1 to AA fire over Liverpool. A Pe-2 is lost attacking a radar installation north of Liverpool.
2 Pe-8s lost to ground fire, 3 Matildas and 2 infantry killed as 20th Tank Corps 3rd Shock Army rolls into Liverpool.
605th Penal Squadron loses 3 I-16s against Farfak which prompts an espionage mission on the city for 82 gold.

Week 33, 1943
Resistance in England continues to be crushed as 4 Matildas and an infantry are killed at Leeds. 38th Tank Corps 3rd Shock Army takes the city.

Over Guam, 2 Pe-2s lost. 2 B-24s destroyed. 6 US infantry are killed and 2nd Marine Brigade takes the island.
Fighting is not as difficult in other areas as 4th Airborne Corps walks into Portugese-held Huambo.
6 infantry, 2 Matildas and infantry killed. 7th Guards Mech Corps 1st Shock Army takes Salisbury.
At Accra, 603rd Penal Squadron loses I-16 to Spitfire.
Pe-2 shot down. 4 infantry killed by Sturmoviks. 4th Tank Corps 2nd Shock Army takes the empty city.
Week 34, 1943
2 KGV a carrier and BB Repulse sunk at the cost of 2 Pe-8s
An air attack with an Air Defense Battery destroys about a dozen sturmoviks and half a dozen Pe-8s at Scapa Flow. It seems to score 100% kills against airplanes.
There is greater success in another part of the theater as Edinburgh falls.
3 French infantry are killed as Abidjan falls to 13th Tank Corps 3rd Tank Army
3 Matildas 3 infantry and 3 artillery are destroyed as Lusaka falls to 7th Guards Mechanized Corps 1st Shock Army.
Week 35, 1943
Glasgow falls to Soviet armor. General Cherniakovsky's progress has been nothing short of spectacular. His Army Group D reports that resistance on the British Isle has ended.
French-held Nouakchott in West Africa is taken after minor fighting.
In the Pacific, 6 US infantry killed Davao falls to 10th Tank Corps 5th Tank Army
Sink 3 Lions and a convoy off Glasgow after more heavy air losses.
Land 1943> Air 1943 in 8 turns. This tech provides mobile rockets (artillery) with a bombard of 25 / rate of fire 4. It can fire twice in the same turn, consuming both movement points. They will be identified in the Soviet inventory as Guards Mortar Battalions. Historically that is how Russian Katyusha truck-mounted rocket launchers were designated. They are a rather steep 600 shields. Also now available to the Red Army is the Su-76 self propelled anti-tank unit. (15-24-2). They will be equipping the infantry armies in the field, along with the Su-122 once development is complete with Air 1943. Finally, the latest main battle tank T-34/85 (32-20-2) is available. The Red Army now has a fighting vehicle similar to the British comet (35-26-2).
Week 36, 1943
King George V BB, 2 destroyers and carrier sunk NW of La coruna, Spain
Rolling down the African coast, 31st Tank Corps seizes Maputo.
Off the coast of India, British forces put up a stiff defense. Colombo taken by a flak unit after several tank and infantry losses.
Week 37, 1943
Ireland is now under attack. Belfast is bombed out and taken by 1st Marine Brigade
In Africa, Johannesburg taken by 9th Tank Corps 1st Shock Army after 4 tanks, 3 infantry and 6 artillery destroyed. General Malinovsky's Army Group B is now in the final stages of subduing the Afican continent.
