About goat MMO simulator

So I tried this out recently, amazed by the idea of of playing an MMO version of goat sim.

I load in and am amazed, I see other goats, I see a chat window with people looking for groups and asking me if I want to join their guild.

So I reply yes please, Id like to join your guild. No guild invites. 'How do I join a guild?' ... Still not able to figure it out. Then there's people looking for groups of level 90 goats to do a raid. I reply 'OMG there's raids in this game?' ... Then there's people linking epic and legendary items in the chat. I ask 'how do you link / view items?' ...

It took me a good few hours to realize this wasn't an actual MMO, but an offline simulation of an MMO. Oh my gosh, I am dumb.

Isn't it an expansion to the regular goat simulator game? The trailer looks funny but I'm content just watching that and not actually playing it.

Its standalone.

No its a free expansion. If you already own the original game then its downloaded to it for free as an extra module.

Goat Simulator MMO is fun enough to watch, but like the base game, I can't bring myself to purchase it.
