? about gold update patch!

hi there! i'm new. i've played civ 2 for a long time but only recently found this place.

could someone take a minute to explain what this gold update patch is all about (i heard something about multiplayer)? and what about the aggressive AI they mentioned in the cons section?

Here's where you can get the patch. The patch is an update to Civ II Multiplayer Gold Edition. So, if you don't have the multiplayer version yet, you can try this file and see if it works. I've never used it, so I don't know exactly what it does to different versions of the game.

Be sure to check out the Civ II GOTM (you can follow the link in my signature).

And attached is the readme file that comes with it. I don't remember the changes at all since it was so long ago.

Edit: The attached file opens as a browser window (and isn't formatted very well). To save it, right click on it and chose 'Save file as'.
